I Just watched the insightful debate about the future role of health in Europe. A radical change toward further collaboration, more integration, coordination, and harmonization, targeted funds, supportive legislation, and initiatives for the innovative life science industry should be followed to improve the supply chain, affordability, and access to treatment solutions. Tackling disease through EU action plans might be vital, as emphasized by panelists, however, I would like to highlight the role of enhancing the regulatory framework to improve access to health innovative treatments, as a lesson learned after the pandemic. This could make product development more agile, secure an efficient and robust drug supply across Europe, and leverage fair patient access through a more resilient and harmonized system.
