OPL entered the consortium with Nordic partners to improve network resiliency and fulfil rapidly growing demand for international telco services. In the days the cable helped us grow wholesale business and set ground for today’s strong and undisputed position.   This is the only telco cable connecting CEE directly through Poland with Nordics. This is the shortest path between Sweden and Ukraine or Romania or Hungary or Balkan states what can’t be underestimated in those uncertain times.   OPL seeks for industry or financial partners to renew and increase capabilities of this cable and its extension over terrestrial routes. SES was on site last week to test a variety of systems at the DEEP new Headquarters in Black Rock State Park. Part of SES’s scope was to perform a point to point verification of the building's air handling units. There are a few rumors surrounding this, like how using a marine handheld VHF onshore is a CRIME. You need a shore license, and you are only allowed to call your own boat. 🔈These "CRIMES" are a thing of the past. 🔈Back in 2016, the FCC relaxed its rules and now allows portable VHF marine radios onshore in areas next to the water when it relates to the needs of the associated vessel. 🔈Yes, there is an 'onshore' station license, BUT YOU DON'T NEED that anymore. 🔈To read more on this topic, just Google FCC Public Notice 16-119.
