I bet there are business lines in Orange Polska you didn’t know that existed? One of them is subsea cables that we co-own like Baltica connecting #Poland, #Sweden and #Denmark https://lnkd.in/dHn-xhZx This cable played key role in OPL’s access to global telco world in post communism time. OPL entered the consortium with Nordic partners to improve network resiliency and fulfil rapidly growing demand for international telco services. In the days the cable helped us grow wholesale business and set ground for today’s strong and undisputed position. This is the only telco cable connecting CEE directly through Poland with Nordics. This is the shortest path between Sweden and Ukraine or Romania or Hungary or Balkan states what can’t be underestimated in those uncertain times. OPL seeks for industry or financial partners to renew and increase capabilities of this cable and its extension over terrestrial routes. If you consider this idea worth exploring please contact me directly. #OPL #wholesale #Baltica #submarinecable

DSI takes UPS replacement to new heights! Check out our latest case study outlining how we worked with The City of Los Angeles Emergency Management Department to install a new 80kVA UPS at an elevation of 5,075 feet to support the city's Mount Lukens site. Mount Lukens is a critical site for several reasons, but none is more important than broadcasting emergency radio transmissions. Check out the entire case study for more details and how the site seamlessly maintained operations throughout the project. https://lnkd.in/gADy3aAt #ups #emergencymanagement #emergencypreparedness #missioncritical #upssystems #power #energy

Gas detection systems in car parks are crucial for several reasons. Firstly, they monitor for dangerous gases such as carbon monoxide, which can accumulate from vehicle exhaust fumes and pose serious health risks to occupants and workers. Secondly, they help prevent potential fire or explosion hazards by detecting flammable gases like methane or propane. Overall, these systems ensure the safety of individuals in the car park environment by providing early warnings and facilitating timely interventions to mitigate risks.
Have you seen our most recent case study? 👀 Featuring our complete car park gas detection system, SafePark, at The National Theatre in London. Comprised of a 176,000 square foot premises in Central London, with a large underground car park beneath it. The SafePark system tackles the three key issues presented by car park gas hazards, and features the following products on our 2-Wire kit: ✔ The SafePark Detector ✔ The SafePark Controller ✔ The SafePark Control Panel With their upgraded system, The National Theatre will be equipped with IGD’s industry-leading protection for another decade. SES was on site last week to test a variety of systems at the DEEP new Headquarters in Black Rock State Park. Part of SES’s scope was to perform a point to point verification of the building's air handling units. PTPs are important because they ensure that all devices are operational and calibrated! #commissioning #buildingcommissioning

Fact or Fiction: it's illegal to use VHF radios on shore🛥️ ❌ FICTION! It's a common misunderstanding to use a marine handheld VHF onshore. There are a few rumors surrounding this, like how using a marine handheld VHF onshore is a CRIME. You need a shore license, and you are only allowed to call your own boat. 🔈These "CRIMES" are a thing of the past. 🔈Back in 2016, the FCC relaxed its rules and now allows portable VHF marine radios onshore in areas next to the water when it relates to the needs of the associated vessel. 🔈Yes, there is an 'onshore' station license, BUT YOU DON'T NEED that anymore. 🔈To read more on this topic, just Google FCC Public Notice 16-119. To be clear, YOU CAN USE YOUR MARINE VHF ONSHORE WITHOUT A SHORE LICENSE. 👉 Click on the link in my bio for more information on my favorite radios, Icom. 👉 Learn more information on my favorite radios. It’s The Qualified Captain™ Tip of the Week with Captain Kelly Gordon – Let’s discuss Line of Sight! You’ve heard the phrase ‘Line of Sight’, but what does it really mean? A radio signal, even from a VHF (very high frequency) radio, needs to have a clear, unobstructed path. If there is something in the path, you won’t be able to hear well. Plainly put - If you don’t have a clear line of sight you won’t have a clear transmission. What areas do you find you have the toughest time getting radio transmissions through while on the water?
