The implications for unvaccinated or under-vaccinated children are severe, leaving them vulnerable to life-threatening diseases. Such inaccuracies, as pointed out by the WHO, can effectively be eliminated with the integration of a nationwide digitalised health information system. South Africa must re-evaluate and strengthen its immunisation programme to protect its youngest citizens.
Let's ensure no child is left behind. The time for action is now.
