Empowering Indonesia's Youth: Ksatriya Mahardhika For the Future of Content Industry Indonesia is facing significant challenges on the global stage, both economically and culturally. As we approach the era of "Indonesia Emas," with a greater proportion of the population in productive age, it is crucial for the nation to identify new economic sources. One promising avenue is the content industry. Despite its potential for the next 25 years, Indonesia still needs to enhance both the quality and quantity of its human resources in the content sector. Currently, Indonesian youth consume more foreign-made content than local creations, primarily due to a lack of high-quality, locally produced content. To address this issue, the Ksatriya Mahardhika initiative has emerged as a solution. This program is designed to support cultural diplomacy through new media and prepare Indonesia's young generation for careers in the content industry. Ksatriya Mahardhika combines various creative competitions that are both engaging and educational, aiming to strengthen the local content ecosystem and foster a love for domestic products. The Ksatriya Mahardhika program includes several key competitions focused on local culture and technology: 1. Lokapala Game Tournament: Lokapala, Southeast Asia's only MOBA game, is the centerpiece of this event. The tournament invites esports players to compete and showcase their skills on a national level, enhancing the diversity and revenue potential of the esports content industry. 2. Dance Competition: This event encourages young people to explore and express Indonesian culture through dance, blending traditional and modern elements. Besides generating content, it also helps preserve Indonesia's rich cultural heritage. 3. Content Creator Competition with a Cultural Theme: Participants are invited to create creative content themed around Indonesian culture, enhancing appreciation and knowledge of the nation's cultural wealth, and inspiring patriotism through their creations. 4. Regional Language Shoutcaster Competition: This competition invites students to become game commentators in their local languages, promoting the preservation of regional languages in the digital era and preventing their extinction. 5. Lokapala Theme Song Cover Competition: Participants reinterpret the Lokapala theme song, adding their creative touch. This competition demonstrates the power of intellectual property (IP) to generate compelling content. Through Ksatriya Mahardhika, they will learn how to become esports players, practical insights into content creation and monetization, professional networking, and understanding the dynamics of the content industry. Allowing them to choose career paths that align with their interests and talents. And to inspire Indonesian youth to love and support local products, motivating them to excel in the increasingly competitive global content industry. #MajuBersamaLokapala #KsatriyaMahardhika

🚀 Post-DevGAMM Reflections 🎮 We're back from DevGAMM Lisbon 2023, and we're buzzing with ideas. Here's a few of the takeaways our team took: 🔍 Engaging the Audience: A New Approach It's all about engaging with our audience effectively. Simple questions are the key! Asking a few well-thought-out questions and delving into users' favourite in-game activities can unlock invaluable insights into their preferences and behaviours. 🎥 Crafting Compelling Ads: The First Seconds Count Capturing attention in the first seconds of an ad is critical. That initial hook needs to be exciting enough to draw users in immediately. Interestingly, trailing with a positive hook at the end might not be as effective, considering user behaviour of not watching the ad until the very end. ❄️ Seasonal Elements: Evoking Emotions 🌸 Seasonal elements have a powerful impact on user emotions. Incorporating seasonal themes like snowflakes in November/December or blossoms in April can evoke positive sentiments, creating a deeper connection with users. 👂 Listening to Our Players: Your Voice Matters Listening attentively to our users' needs is non-negotiable. Their feedback is a goldmine of ideas and improvements. By understanding their desires, we can tailor our offerings to meet their expectations more effectively. 🌈 Power of Visualization: Captivating Content In the world of social media, visuals are everything. We're placing an even greater emphasis on creating visually captivating content to stand out and captivate our audience. These insights are helping to shape our strategies to create better experiences, and help re-confirm what we thought we already knew. Thanks, for having us! #OriginalGames #DevGAMMLisbon2023 #GamingCommunity #InnovationInGaming #PlayerEngagement 🎲👾🕹️

Never Give Up on the Path to Success: The Importance of Continuous Learning and Hypothesis Testing Should you give up if things don't work out the first time? My answer is a resounding "no." Everything starts small, with a hypothesis. And most likely, your first, second, and even tenth hypothesis may not work. This is especially true for a brand's social media. From my experience in producing artists and applying this experience to social media for a commercial organization, I've observed that it is very difficult to reach the top if you keep your distance from people. People love simplicity and clarity. Take TrueGamers in the UAE. We tested different hypotheses to attract both gamers and a broader audience. We tried various formats: visually appealing, stylish content, event reports, and gaming news, but none gave us the needed coverage. Everything changed when we tested combining niche and broad formats. We developed a simple yet effective format: amusingly describing everyday gamer situations, adding content about hypothetical relationships. All actions take place in our clubs. We also post important information about tournaments and new clubs, but this strategy helped us convey key news to a larger audience. Yes, our account isn't 100% focused on club and gaming news. But by simplifying the format and combining niches, we reached more people interested in esports. We reduced the distance between followers and us, explaining: we understand your gaming life. Considering our predominantly male audience, this content worked. But it took time and many tests to understand that simplicity is key. And I'm glad it worked. Of course, we are thrilled when our videos get millions of views and thousands of comments. But even more, we are energized by the people who watch, comment, and have fun. That's how it should be in an esports club — people should enjoy themselves. #NeverGiveUp #Learning #SocialMedia #Marketing #TrueGamers #Experience #Growth #Success

Curious to know whose session/speaker submission for VRMA was chosen? As someone relatively new to the industry and representing a younger generation, I knew my submission might be a long shot. My proposed session, "Amplifying Your Brand Through Content Creators: A Path to More Direct Bookings and a Robust Social Presence," aimed to bring a fresh perspective. I submitted a panel of travel content creators to share their insights on working with PMs, the impact they've made, and their success stories. This was going to be my first step in bringing a different voice to the stage + a different perspective. These creators after all represent our guests! Oh and not to mention these creators have a combined reach of over 1m followers and millions of views. This would have been a viral session being broadcasted live on socials and brought the VRMA brand to a wider audience. It seems like a missed opportunity. Are you trying to level up your Instagram or TikTok? Do you want to learn how to work effectively with content creators? Would you have found this session valuable?
