Today, my wife and I celebrate our 13th wedding anniversary, The #1 lesson I’ve learned:: Outside of absolute gratitude, Is how the most meaningful pursuits (marriage), And the most meaningful relationships (my wife), 𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲 𝘃𝘂𝗹𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆. Which means they are inherently difficult pursuits, That repeatedly ask questions of who you are, To better unlock who you are meant to be. ___ Any game we choose to play, Or any pursuit we choose to commit to, Has the power to move us toward the person we were meant to become. Games or pursuits like coaching, marriage, parenting, leadership, Require two things: • That we keep showing up  • And are willing to be developed And those 2 things require complete vulnerability. Those 2 things require that we • embrace challenge,  • pain points and  • any resistance Through to the other side. Because on the other side of that resistance, Is your better self. Any time we refuse that call, And choose to stand still… We choose not to grow. This is one of the hardest lessons I’ve ever had to learn. ___ I preach development daily on LinkedIn. But no person has helped me develop more than my wife. Our relationship is the ultimate Culture Rep– One of us is vulnerable, The other returns that vulnerability with truth, love and empowerment, And we become stronger because of it.
