About us

We are the families and friends of hundreds of innocent abductees from 25 nationalities taken hostage by Hamas. We are not a political organization - the entire headquarters are operating on a completely voluntary basis We formed the Hostage and Missing Families Forum Less than 24 hours after the horrific attack by Hamas on Israel on October 7th, in which thousands of innocent civilians were murdered and taken hostage by Hamas. The Forum is focused on bringing the hostages back home to their families, to us. The forum offers families holistic support and professional assistance and advances the ongoing efforts through all channels, locally, regionally and globally, to bring the hostages and the missing back home to their loved ones. Demanding the release of innocent hostages does not require bravery, it is not political either. Many of the hostages are children, women and the elderly. We demand to bring them home now. Counting thousands of volunteers and supporters, the Hostage and Missing Families Forum includes family members and friends of the hostages alongside top security, law, media and diplomacy experts who are donating their time to the cause. #Bringthemhomenow

This morning, families of the hostages used loudspeakers to call out to their loved ones, who have been languishing in Hamas tunnels for 328 days. In their immense grief, the families broke through the fence, running towards the Gaza border in a desperate attempt to get as close as possible to their relatives. The families are pleading for a deal to be made that would bring back their loved ones - the living for rehabilitation, and the murdered for proper burial in their homeland.

"It's Mama, Hersh” shouted Rachel Goldberg-Polin into the speakers, while standing at the Gaza border. “It’s day 328. We are all here, all the families of the remaining 107 hostages. Hersh, we are working day and night, and we will never stop. I need you to know that I am giving you now the blessing I give you every single morning when I pray for you, and every Friday night I go out on the porch, towards Gaza, and I give you the Kohanic blessing: May God bless you and keep you. May God shine His face upon you and be gracious to you." Early this morning families expressed their longing, love, pain, and struggle to end the abandonment of their relatives, hoping their voices will be heard. Video credit: Adar Eyal

Families of the hostages are leading a massive convoy from Hostages Square in Tel Aviv to the Gaza border. The convoy also includes burnt and destroyed cars from the October 7 events. Before their departure, Hagit Chen חגית חן , mother of Itay Chen, addressed the crowd: "My Itay, I’m sorry. I’m sorry that you’re not deemed important enough by the Israeli government. How is it possible that they haven’t brought you back yet? How can they allow 108 hostages to remain unreturned after almost a year? Decision-makers in the government are stringing us along day after day in a tiring, torturous game of back-and-forth—no deal, almost a deal, no deal, almost a deal. The only barrier to securing a deal right now is the courage of the Prime Minister." The convoy is set to arrive at kibbutz Be'eri at 5:30 PM, where family members of the hostages will deliver important statements. Follow us on our website -> did.li/vbUCN

The Hostages and Missing Families Forum announces that hostage Qaid Farhan Alkadi, 52, was able to free himself from Hamas captivity and escape to Israeli forces. Qaid, a father of 11, lived by the city of Rahat and worked at Kibbutz Magen. He was abducted from his workplace 326 days ago, and is now back in Israel. The wonderful news of his return is a sign of light amongst the darkness for the families of the hostages and the people of Israel. We wish to thank the wonderful forces of our IDF who helped Qaid return home safely. The number of hostages who are still held in Hamas captivity is now at 108. A deal is the only way to secure the return of the remaining 108 hostages- The living for rehabilitation and the murdered for proper burial.

Itay is the third child of the four Svirsky siblings. He lived in Tel Aviv, studied psychology and economics. Itay worked as a therapist, helping his clients heal, reflect and reach a deeper self-understanding.
"Itay found a place that suits him," says Merav, his sister. "He had many doubts, but he learned to know himself and to develop. He is loving and had one of the greatest capacities for listening and inclusion I've seen. He genuinely wants to help people." On that terrible weekend of October 7th, Itay arrived at Kibbutz Be'eri to meet with his parents, ominously aware that the meeting would turn into a farewell. Itay was kidnapped by Hamas terrorists from his mother’s home on Kibbutz Be’eri. While Itay was held hostage, his parents, Orit Sela-Svirsky and Rafi Svirsky, who were murdered at their homes in the kibbutz were buried. His grandmother, Aviva Sela, aged 97, miraculously survived the attack on the kibbutz. We cannot let this endless horror cycle go on any longer. We must sign a deal that will bring Itay and all 109 hostages home. The living for rehabilitation and the murdered to proper burial in their homeland. #Bringthemhomenow

Polio vaccines for 1,255,000 people were delivered to Gaza yesterday via the Kerem Shalom Crossing by COGAT As part of routine childhood immunization, children in Israel should get a vaccine to protect against polio. The first shot is given at the age of 6 months and the second at 18 months.  Kfir Bibas, who was abducted at the age of 8 months, did not receive his second shot.  It is also recommended to get an additional shot if you are in an area with an increased risk of poliovirus exposure. #Bringthemhomenow
