Frank Lloyd Wright change the phrase "From Follow Function" to "Form and Function area One" by using nature as the best example of its integration. The Famous FLW Organic Architecture base on reinterpretation of nature’s principles as they had been filtered through the intelligent minds of men and women who could then build forms which are more natural than nature itself. Organic Architecture involves a respect for the properties of the materials, and a respect for the harmonious relationship between the form/design and the function of the building. Organic architecture is also an attempt to integrate the spaces into a coherent whole: a marriage between the site and the structure and an union between the context and the structure. The Falling Water House designed by FLW is the best example of his Organic Architecture. This is one of the iconic buildings of modern architecture history, in my opinion. https://lnkd.in/gBrsKK2A

Historical Roots: Greek Classicism, rooted in the architectural styles of ancient Greece, has left an indelible mark on the world of design and construction. Its foundations lie in the ideals of harmony, balance, and proportion, embodying a perfect blend of aesthetics and functionality. Order and Proportion: At the heart of Greek Classicism are the classical orders - Doric, Ionic, and Corinthian. These orders dictate the proportions and ornamentation of columns, showcasing a meticulous attention to detail. The Doric order, with its simple and robust design, reflects strength and stability. The Ionic order, characterized by its volutes, adds a touch of grace and sophistication. Lastly, the Corinthian order, adorned with acanthus leaves, exudes opulence and refinement. Architectural Elements: Greek architecture is renowned for its use of pediments, friezes, and metopes, each telling a unique story through intricate carvings and reliefs. The harmony achieved in the symmetrical arrangement of these elements is a testament to the Greeks' mastery in creating visually stunning and balanced structures. 🏛️ Legacy in Modern Architecture: The influence of Greek Classicism is not confined to ancient times; its legacy continues to thrive in modern architecture. Architects and designers draw inspiration from Greek principles to create buildings that stand the test of time, embodying a sense of enduring beauty and grace. Educational Significance: Studying Greek Classicism is not merely an exploration of architectural aesthetics but also an understanding of cultural, philosophical, and mathematical principles. It provides a solid foundation for aspiring architects and designers, offering valuable insights into the art of creating structures that resonate with both the past and the present. Championing Sustainability: In an era where sustainability is paramount, the principles of Greek Classicism offer a sustainable approach to design. By emphasizing longevity, durability, and harmony with the surrounding environment, Greek Classicism provides a valuable framework for creating buildings that stand as testaments to both beauty and environmental responsibility. Let us continue to appreciate and celebrate the enduring legacy of Greek Classicism, recognizing its contribution to the world of architecture and its timeless influence on the structures that surround us. https://lnkd.in/gPrfkAPS

Project: surveying grade i The Circus, #Bath for a new project. The Circus was part of #Architect John Wood the Elder's grand vision to recreate a classical Palladian architectural landscape for the city. Grade: i listed. The highest listing you can have. This is because the site is of exceptional national, architectural or historical importance. It is rare to find a Grade i listed building compared to a Grade ii listed site, simply because of the significance that is placed on such sites. Only 2.5% of all listed buildings fall into the Grade i category.

Reinterpreting Sacred Architecture: Exploring Transcendence, Design, and the Spirit of Space Sacred architecture has long been revered for its ability to inspire awe and evoke a sense of spiritual transcendence. At our architectural design studio, we draw upon these profound dimensions, integrating them into contemporary design. By examining the works of iconic architects like Oscar Niemeyer and Antoni Gaudí, and looking at ancient monuments, we explore how sacred geometry and harmonious proportions can transform modern architectural practice. Niemeyer’s innovative use of geometric forms and Gaudí’s incorporation of natural patterns and divine ratios exemplify how sacred principles can elevate architecture beyond the mundane, creating spaces that resonate on a deeper, spiritual level. #Architecture #Sacred #AntoniGaudi #OscarNiemeyer #Design #Symbolism #Dimensions

There are elements many are not aware of that are a part of landscape architecture, like the use of sound to help craft a space’s ambiance. From water that trickles, runs, or gurgles to the natural chatter and chirps of wildlife to the hum or rush of manmade products, landscape architects take into consideration all the ways sound contributes to a sense of place. The ASLA (American Society of Landscape Architectures) breaks down the types of sounds we use in design here: https://loom.ly/KnT6yQU #LandscapeArchitecture

Brief description of the project: urban facade are the confluence of architecture, urban design and Urban Planning that over time was formed under the influence of environmental , cultural, social and economic factors and represents deep relationship of architecture with man and nature. Since the facade is one of the most effective factors influencing the visual perception, and today saw the occurrence of disaster in the design of the facades of neighborhoods, this happened despite that our architecture and urbanism heritage in historical neighborhoods is rich of valuable hints and patterns that identifying the patterns and strategies can led to clear way as soon as you start the design of each in the construction of new urban neighborhoods. since views and facades of urban historical tissue is created from artistic full and empty spaces, and facades of this circular texture was the mediator in extroversion and introspection of traditional architecture among Iran's historic tissues, this plan tend to show the impact of full and empty spaces, on the visual perception of residents and visitors.
