Interesting how the best market score (highest global impact, and lowest uncertainty) is for tropical forest conservation..meanwhile deforestation in the tropics is of the highest magnitude globally. One might think, that the opportunity for climate change mitigation is born out of malpractice; a snake eating its tail. Leaving the tropics alone might be the solution after all...Meanwhile, we should want to see farming practices ranked higher in this graph (innovative solutions within existing croplands, and agroforestry lands to increase CDR impact, combined with higher certainty acceptance by the markets).
A new study in Nature Climate Change reviewed the science underlying nature-based climate solutions.
