National Highways have released drone fly-through footage to show the scale of the Black Cat Roundabout upgrades, their largest scheme currently in construction. It's been one year since breaking ground, and since then they have moved four million tonnes of earth, placed 33 bridge beams, and diverted 11 miles of utilities. They add that the scheme remains on track to open to traffic in spring 2027.

🎥 Drone vs. Pigeon: The Overhead Roof Survey Chronicles 🐦 We always try to capture the perfect overhead shot for a roof survey that we can relate the detailed imagery to. While doing exactly that today, our drone faced off against a flock of determined pigeons who seemed to think we were filming their audition for Pigeon Impossible 2. Despite their best efforts to photobomb, we managed to get a great view of this roof (and some unintentional wildlife action shots). The roof itself? Well, let’s just say the photo shows there's a lot more to this story than published by penguin. In my opinion, each survey team should be equipped with a Drone (at least a mini one), so that we can capture the real time site condition in aerial photos, then overlaid with our survey date for well representative what is going on.
