🌍We are supporting La Réunion's goal to eliminate landfilling and boost energy autonomy! French energy company Albioma has selected us to supply a waste-to-energy line for the Bois-Rouge power plant on the island. 👉 The new boiler will treat 70,000 tons of high calorific waste annually, converting household waste into energy. ♻️ This project, set to be operational by the end of 2026, will help divert waste from landfills, conserve fossil fuels, and contribute to a more circular economy. ♻️ Read more: https://lnkd.in/d7TXd4y5

B.I.G. is leading the change towards a greener future by investing €5 million to transition our Cushion Vinyl production facility in Wielsbeke, Belgium, from fossil energy to biomass-generated steam. This transition signifies a major milestone in our journey towards achieving 'net zero' emissions by 2030. Through collaboration with Aspiravi and A&U Energie, a company specializing in converting non-recyclable wood waste into green energy and heat, we aim to reduce the carbon footprint of our Cushion Vinyl facility by 88% compared to current emissions. ⚡ ♻️ At B.I.G., sustainability isn't just a buzzword – it's a commitment. We're actively increasing the use of recycled materials in our solutions and making strides in our green energy initiatives. All this is part of our participation in the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). Recently, our targets were validated as science-based by the organization, officially allowing us to move to the next level of the initiative. The SBTi provides a framework for setting emission reduction targets to meet the goals of the Paris Agreement in alignment with the latest climate science. Every step we take propels us towards achieving our sustainability goals for 2030! Want to know more? Read the full story here: https://lnkd.in/eczYhrKv

Although the Czech Republic has recently made progress in reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 20%, there is still a lack of innovative solutions in the energy efficiency of building. 💡 Donatas Karčiauskas, CEO of Exergio, points out that the success of the Scandinavian models in terms of sustainable building practices and energy efficiency is unattainable without a solid understanding of effective management of energy systems in buildings. The extensive renovations of old buildings only solve one issue without actually optimizing energy consumption in CEE countries. “Focusing on the commercial sector not only improves the sustainability profile of businesses but also positions them as leaders in environmental stewardship within their local communities,” explains Karčiauskas. 🏢 🌱 According to recent studies, efficient energy management could potentially reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 30-35%. 📉 🔗 Interested in how exactly this can be achieved? Thank you to everyone that joined us this week in Birmingham to our 4th event this year where we presented our Path to Net Zero. As Stewart Thompson was saying during his presentation, we are not here to "talk the talk we are here to walk the walk!". Our target, our Road to 100, is to avoid 100 million tons of CO2 emissions by 2030 and by 2025 to have >60% of our total revenues in Europe generated by renewable technologies vs <40% from fossil fuel products. It was a real pleasure to present our Hybrid System Wizard and to make 3 selections for a DHW only project for a boarding school, to choose the most efficient solution for one of our customers present at our event. I also enjoyed presenting a few of our case studies to the audience: 1. A New Build project, an apartment building block with Heat Pumps Water Heaters (the NUOS range from Ariston) 2. A Refurbishment project, a school with Commercial Heating Heat Pumps (the AEROTOP range from ELCO Heating Solutions) It will not be easy and we will need your help to reach our target, so when you have to heat a building or to produce DHW for a building ALWAYS recommend to your customers a renewable solution. You can use heat pumps in any type of applications so come to us at ELCO Heating Solutions UK or Ariston UK if you need any guidance on how to help us decarbonise UK faster. #heatpumps #PathToNetZero #Sustainability #Decarbonisation
Last night, ELCO Heating Solutions hosted our Path to Net Zero event in Birmingham alongside Ariston UK, ATAG Commercial and WOLF. Although the football result might not have been the highlight, we were thrilled by the enthusiastic discussions and insightful questions about our renewable range and sustainability plans. Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to the conversation about our commercial heating solutions. Where would you like us to bring our #PathToNetZero roadshow next? #CommercialHeatingSolutions #PathToNetZero #Sustainability

Bravo International Group is actively working to reducing carbon footprint. In a significant step toward environmental sustainability, our company’s CO₂ measuring initiatives have yielded impressive results. Thanks to the installation of photovoltaic panels on our factory in Fundulea, Romania, we’ve successfully reduced our carbon dioxide emissions by a staggering 481,889 tons. To put this achievement in perspective, it’s equivalent to planting 25,855 trees or saving 193,434 tons of standard coal. By utilizing renewable resources, we’re not only minimizing our impact on the environment but also contributing to a greener future. Our commitment to sustainability doesn’t stop here. We’re continually exploring innovative solutions to further reduce our emissions and promote eco-friendly practices across our operations. Stay tuned for more updates on our environmental initiatives! Remember, every small step counts, and together, we can make a big difference. 🌿🌞 *The figures mentioned in this article are based on actual data, and we take pride in our efforts to create a cleaner, more sustainable world. 🌎✨ #BravoTeam #BravoInternationalGroup #Sustainability

According to the FUEL EU directive, which will come into force in 2025, the CO2eq per MJ value in the WtT segment decreases significantly with the use of e-methanol. This naturally ensures that the ships remain below the "target GHG Intensity". What I'm wondering about is, is there a structural difference using e-methanol compared to the engine burning fossil methanol in the main engine? As far as I can see, there is no difference in producing methanol other than using renewable energy source. The point I'm curious about is why is this cost borne by ship owners, while the amount of CO2eq released during the Well To Wake process is entirely a concern of fuel producing companies? Another point: How much difference will there be between e-methanol production cost and fossil methanol production cost? Unfortunately, this difference is placed on the ship owners as a penalty at the end of the day if they resist to use RFNBO in their ship. #imo #wtwperspective #lca #renewableenergy
