Thanks to Elizabeth Blosfield and Carrier Management for the opportunity to give my views on Insurtech challenges and opportunities at InsureTech Connect Vegas. Aside from being able to stand out in a crowded and competitive market and ensuring scalability and data security, another thing that occurred to me throughout those few days at ITC was ‘Market Knowledge’. There is so much focus on the technological capabilities of platforms… the tech is exciting, don’t get me wrong, but it’s only exciting to the insurance community when we apply it to solve market challenges and make lives easier or make processes more efficient! Cool tech is one thing… cool tech addressing relevant market challenge… that’s another!
What are the challenges and opportunities for the #insurtech industry in 2024? Carrier Management attended InsureTech Connect in Las Vegas last week and discussed the issue with Jacqueline Schaendorf, CPCU President and CEO at Insurance House, Andy Searle, Vice President of Business Development at ACORD, Heather H. Wilson, CEO of CLARA Analytics, and Shane Riedman, Vice President and General Manager of Anti-Fraud Analytics at Verisk. #InsurTechConnect #FutureofInsurance #insurtechinsights https://lnkd.in/g6fD-MYE

11moTotally right Andy, too many times I see people so excited about the tech, and what it can do, rather than what difference is it making to the person being digitally transformed and how they will feel about that. We need to spend more time talking to the people, rather than thinking about how cool the tech is. Talking to enough underwriters it’s clear that they don’t really want to be transformed, they just want to be able to spend more time underwriting!
