Designing & creating events experiences that create connection, results & business impact

You would never get your architect to design half your house and then design the other half yourself because "you've been in a house". There's technical knowledge, design expertise, and professional standards they are working within. Hiring an event professional is like hiring an architect for your event. If you cut out parts of the scope to manage it yourself because you "know what events entail", you're missing out on having their technical knowledge, experience, and design expertise applied to your whole event. It's the difference between having "hired help" who can check off tasks for you versus having a trusted advisor that can help design an impactful experience for your attendees. I don’t know about you, but I’d never move into a house that was only half designed by a professional architect…. #events #eventprofs #eventdesign

I feel the same way about branding. Plus, changing crews half way through is like starting with one crew, and half way going with a different one. Doesn't make sense.

I love this analogy, it is so true.

This is a great analogy! The other vitally important part is when you bring in the architect. It is at the VERY beginning of the planning for your new home of course! Just as important for your Event Professionals! We can be so much more effective if we are there from the beginning. So much more time consuming and expensive for us to fix all those bad decisions and assumptions than to use us for our expertise from the start! Before you choose dates, before you choose a venue, before you do the site survey (with us) and definitely before you sign any contract and start booking anything! So much easier to produce an incredible event that engages the audience in the right space, with the right team, and the right agreements with your venues and partners!

Spot on, Anh! 🎯 Hiring an eventprof is like getting a master chef for your dinner party instead of just following a recipe yourself - no one should be cooking alone. :) The secret sauce and the meal is way better with professional chefs involved. and not too many! :)

Living this as we speak. I often talk to clients with terms like "architect (strategy), general contractor (EP & Technical Director), Interior Designer (scenic creative), conductor (show caller) etc etc etc

Amen! I do think though that there are those people who get our value and those people who are happy with what ever their status quo is. And to be honest, these days I prefer clients who get it.

Such a good example. What kills me is thinking you can do half the work and when you run into trouble, then it's let's ask the experts.
