Overjoyed to share that I’ve won the ‘Viksit Bharat’ competition with my photograph showcasing progressive India! This achievement may seem small, but it’s a significant milestone for me. This is one of my hard-earned certificates and the most difficult too. This trek did teach a lot of life-changing learnings that can be used in both personal and professional life. Perseverance: Again, a great trait that is very essential to keep your perseverance throughout the trek. Right Skill-set: Even though you have state-of-the-art tools at your disposal, you require the right skills to use them. Tools by itself are not of great help. Its life changing in the right hands. Positive Mindset: Very very essential in every aspect of life. Treks are taxing physically but are even more taxing on your mind. Having the right mindset makes us sail through it. Planning: Very essential and can make/break things. Having the right plan makes it easier physically and mentally. Risk Mitigation: Risks are an integral part of any project. The success of any project depends on how well we anticipate the risk and plan a workaround (There was a broken bridge and the team came up with an indigenous way to cross the bridge). Celebration: Celebrate small victories (celebrate every 2 hrs to keep you motivated). There are many more learnings and happy to make it to the end. Buran Ghati Pass – I did not conquer but I surrendered to it. Special thanks to Pankaj (Trek Lead) and Trekup India for organizing this and giving us a wonderful experience. Not to forget Prajiith M Talapan and Sandip Debnath for their support and for making me feel that I can do it without worrying about my day-to-day deliverables. Many individuals less qualified than YOU Doing things YOU truly want to do Simply because they choose to BELIEVE in themselves 💯 Recently I read the above three lines in Kim’s post and it truly touched me! 👉Often in life we come across people who are less qualified than us but are living our dream life. How's it possible for them to achieve and not for us? They CHOOSE to BELIEVE 🚀 Coming to America 🇺🇸 and living all of my own is not a cake walk 📌I had fears of coming to a completely new place where I have no family or not even a single close friend. I have never lived of my own. Mostly dependent on elders in the house. However, I had faith. Faith in myself 🚀 ✅I made amazing friends through my program and went to Disneyland with them where I truly enjoyed ✅I got in touch with people who gave me shelter when I was struggling to find a place. ✅I didn't find my full time role for 2 months after graduation. It is one of the toughest time to get job. But I sailed through it and I'm at such an amazing company now, where it feels like family. A Year of Transformation: My Journey from India to the USA A year ago, I embarked on a journey that has forever changed me, leaving behind my family, my home, and my little son with dreams in my eyes and plans known only to my heart. The USA, a land of new opportunities, was supposed to be the world of my dreams. But as I touched down, I was met with a feeling of emptiness—thousands of miles away from everything familiar and loved. In this past year, I've traveled twice back to India, seeking the warmth of home, the comfort of family. But with each return to the USA, life has shown me new dimensions, opened up incredible opportunities, and taught me lessons I never imagined. This experience has pushed me out of my comfort zone, teaching me the true value of time. Here, 24 hours feel like a fleeting moment, compared to the leisurely days in India. It’s a constant race, a mantra of "run, run, and run." Starting in a new land was tough, no doubt, but it has been nothing short of wonderful. In just one year, I’ve gone from knowing almost no one to being a graduate student at Clark University, connecting with industry leaders, and networking with top businessmen from across the globe. What amazes me most is the emphasis on social responsibility even in a business school, something that was beyond my imagination back in India, even after years in the industry. Life has taught me countless lessons here—adaptation, resilience, and self-reliance. Yet, the differences are stark and undeniable: from traffic to people’s behavior, from food to the eagerness of people here to help rather than hinder. India will always be my first love, but the USA has become my new home—a place where I've found friends, companions, and countless opportunities to grow. The environment, the weather, the community—there's so much to love. As I step into the next year, I’m filled with enthusiasm and determination. There’s so much to achieve, so much to give back to society.
