So, today (Every) March 23rd, India pays tribute (Punyatithi Shraddhanjali-Shaheed Diwas) to Shaheed Bhagat Singh. A revolutionary whose sacrifice for freedom continues to resonate in our hearts. In my journey, I've always sought inspiration from those who left a profound mark, not just on their era, but for generations to come. His life truly embodied the philosophy stated above. Though his life was short, his impact has been massive. Learning from Shaheed Bhagat Singh for a Meaningful Life: 1. Find our Mission: Like Shaheed Bhagat Singh, identify what we believe in and fight for it, regardless of scale. 2. Live with Passion: Pursue our dreams and purpose with unwavering dedication. 3. Let’s talk about the 🐘 in the room… In my case 2️⃣… in my kitchen. Growing up in #copenhagen my parents often took me to the zoo. I’d want to spend time there observing nothing but the #elephants. These majestic and stunning creatures. Creatures with a special place in many Indians hearts. Hindus in particular. Dreaming of one day seeing them in the wild, where they belong and should roam freely. I have yet to experience that myself. But what a blessing it has then been having colleagues showing me pictures from the jungles of #Kerala. The ones in my kitchen I assure you are taken good care of. The left one was sent to me by Asir almost ten years ago. Carved and adopted in #Chennai. The one to the right is a younger elephant. Gifted to me by Venkata Adopted in #Visakhapatnam and flown all the way to #denmark. So why did I place them in my kitchen and why are they so special you may think? 🤔 They serve as a special reminder everyday .Reminding me the difference it makes and how much joy it can bring me - when #worklife includes truly special people. How #connects with an open mind can lead to having great colleagues and even life long friends. They also serve as a reminder that I can’t wait to see these gentlemen again. Every #connect is an opportunity to learn and grow and create memories. After having joined TCS besides building on belief, it’s clear that we also build on a rich culture and heritage. This is one of my hard-earned certificates and the most difficult too. This trek did teach a lot of life-changing learnings that can be used in both personal and professional life. Perseverance: Again, a great trait that is very essential to keep your perseverance throughout the trek. Right Skill-set: Even though you have state-of-the-art tools at your disposal, you require the right skills to use them. Tools by itself are not of great help. Its life changing in the right hands. Positive Mindset: Very very essential in every aspect of life. Treks are taxing physically but are even more taxing on your mind. Having the right mindset makes us sail through it. Planning: Very essential and can make/break things. Having the right plan makes it easier physically and mentally. Risk Mitigation: Risks are an integral part of any project. The success of any project depends on how well we anticipate the risk and plan a workaround (There was a broken bridge and the team came up with an indigenous way to cross the bridge). Celebration: Celebrate small victories (celebrate every 2 hrs to keep you motivated). There are many more learnings and happy to make it to the end. Buran Ghati Pass – I did not conquer but I surrendered to it. Special thanks to Pankaj (Trek Lead) and Trekup India for organizing this and giving us a wonderful experience. Not to forget Prajiith M Talapan and Sandip Debnath for their support and for making me feel that I can do it without worrying about my day-to-day deliverables.
