Annabel Beales PhD’s Post

It's been so inspiring speaking to people from 13 different countries for Business Fights Poverty's latest discussion paper, about how we can deliver healthier futures for women, children and young people. Here are some of the headlines: 💚 The health of women, children and young people is at the heart of thriving communities, businesses and economies. 💰 There is currently a massive funding gap, particularly in lower-income countries. 👩💼 👨💼 Businesses in all sectors have a role to play - whether you're a pharmaceutical company or a garment manufacturer, you will have women in your value chains and you'll need healthy and well-educated workers in future... 💡 The good news is there's so much happening in this area, and so many different ways to make a difference. 🔃 Alignment is key - we need #innovation , we need #partnership and above all we need more finance that all drive towards clear national priorities for #health. I'm hopeful this report will inspire more action and also familiarise more businesses with the brilliant work of the Global Financing Facility. #DeliverTheFuture #investinwomen #iwd2024
