👩💻More women in tech means more inclusive products (built for everyone). 👩🏾🔬More women in science leads to better women-focused solutions.   👩🏽💼More women in entrepreneurship equals better solutions and higher ROI for investors. and yet...    Only 28% of women work in tech, 35% - in STEM.  Only 10% of Female CEOs run Fortune 500 companies.   Only 2.1% of VC funding goes to female-founded startups.    Why?   Becuase of bias.  Stereotypes.  Lack of role models.  Toxic workplaces  Bro culture  Lack of sponsors Outdated societal norms   Harassment and discrimination    the list goes on...    According to research more diverse companies (including female leaders on boards) perform better financial not talking about better solutions and products, better company culture, fair promotion and compensation.     It’s Women’s Month. Don’t just say you “support women” and do nothing. Walk the talk: ✅Hire more women in tech. On leadership levels too.  ✅Fund more women-led startups. Big checks too.   ✅Promote more women into leadership roles. Invest in their growth.   ✅Become an Executive Sponsor of your Women ERG. Sponsor them beyond IWD.  ✅Partner with several women-focused organizations like WomenTech Network, Executive Women in Tech (EWIT) #womensmonth #supportwomen #womenintech

Yes! As a leader in tech, I've witnessed firsthand the transformative impact of women in leadership roles and diverse teams. However, let's not overlook the pervasive issue of imposter syndrome that often plagues women, particularly in the tech field. Building confidence in women in business is crucial for unleashing their full potential. Research consistently shows that women often have less confidence in their abilities compared to their male counterparts, which can hold them back from seizing opportunities and reaching their goals. It's essential to create environments that foster confidence and provide support systems tailored to women's needs. Mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities play a significant role in helping women develop their confidence and leadership skills. Let's actively work towards closing the confidence gap by championing women's achievements, offering constructive feedback, and encouraging them to step outside their comfort zones. Together, we can empower women to embrace their strengths, take on leadership roles, and thrive in the business world, encouraging them to have the confidence to talk the talk too.

Anna Radulovski I think what you can add here is making the core requirements of tech-focused job postings more flexible and fluid. When requirements are too strict (e.g. x years experience), and for better or worse, barriers get created.

Agreed. 💯💯💯 I’d add: Let’s talk about the awards and PR given only to founders and not the women working alongside them to make their business successful. Let’s add redefining what it means to be a woman in tech when tech is across all fields of expertise. Let’s ensure men of power who are known predators do not get funding from VCs. Let’s ensure the women doing the work are celebrated, not the men who hired them.

It's time to break down barriers and empower more women in tech and leadership roles. Let's make diversity and inclusion a priority every month, not just in March!

Encouraging more women to participate in technology, research, and entrepreneurship can boost brain diversity by generating new perspectives and innovative solutions. By encouraging women's participation, we are capitalizing on the brain's capacity for diverse thinking processes, eventually driving growth and success.

Well said Anna Radulovski! To add to list is the expectation from women to manage it all - career, home, loved ones, aging parents etc. which is nearly impossible. We know “having it all” is a myth so we should look to empower women by giving them the flexibility when and where they need it. We need more mentors, coaches, allies to empower women now than ever before!
