It blows my mind how many Account Executive resumes I see that don't include numbers.
If you're looking for a new job and struggling to get interviews, make sure your resume includes:
1. Performance against quota in each job and over multiple time periods (not just one quarter or one year).
2. Team rank - especially if no one on your team is hitting quota, make it clear you're at the top of the leaderboard.
I see resumes all the time that include the bookings numbers, but not the quota or rank. Show those, or it looks like you're hiding something. And if it looks like you're hiding something, then you're less likely to get an interview.
Always remember your resume is not being evaluated in a vacuum; it's being compared to all the other (hundreds or thousands) of candidates also applying.
(Btw, I'm hiring for two entry-level AE roles in either Raleigh or Franklin, TN, and my friend Kapil G. is hiring his first AE for his startup.)
