Better late than never, but I found out that in December, my first article for the Miami Herald was published, and on front page! Being on the cover is a huge honor for every reporter and more importantly, it being a story about something that matters. This article is about a young woman who’s gone through tremendous loss in her early life and overcame it, working everyday to achieve her goals to help others with healing. I have an opinion. Because I have an opinion, informed or not, you need to hear it. Not only do you need to hear it, you must respect it and adhere to it solely because it is my opinion. Your opinion is not of significance. The only thing that matters is that I have an opinion and you must conform yourself to my opinion. If you don't, I will yell at you, call you derogatory names and try to shame you into submission. Thus you have the prevalent attitude of many in the media obsessed world which promotes the false reality of self-importance and fake celebrity. Here are my two suggestions for consideration to those who feel the need to record their opinions in a car, bedroom or the basement of their parents house; First, opinions do not equal reality and secondly, truth is not created. We deserve better than this!

This talk will explore how developing a felt sense of relationality with our own bodies, and embracing regular shared touch in our lives, both in an incidental and planned way can contribute to a deeper felt sense of community, of connection, and inter-relationality not only with other non human beings that we share this planet with - but also with people we don't like very much. All touch is not inherently sexual or erotic, and also there is nothing inherently wrong or bad about sexual and erotic touch either on our own, or with other consenting adults. Unravelling some of these internalised and pervasive narratives around touch may also help us have more fulfilling connected lives.

How simple yet so powerful and relevant! Let's bring back people's faith in Human Connection. With work from home and online meet-ups, it's become so crucial to build connections. We are social beings. We need connections. Infact, we thrive if we are content in our relationships with friends, family and colleagues. I personally prefer meetings over calls, video calls over phone calls, voice messages over written messages, or atleast a few lines as a message over non-action, whenever I think of someone. I have a habit of not delaying communication. And that helps me stay connected.
