ICYMI: Did you know that nearly 1/3 of inventions tie back to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) according to WIPO? It's a powerful testament to how Intellectual Property (IP) and SDGs work hand in hand, driving innovation and creativity. For the past 20 years, SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure) has seen substantial growth in patents, reaching about 20% of all active patents globally. While SDG 13 (Climate Action) and SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) show slightly stronger upward trends in patents compared to other SDGs, this reflects a growing preference for cleaner alternatives and green technologies; and the interconnectedness of ending poverty, improving health and education, reducing inequality plus spurring economic growth alongside environmental conservation efforts. Girona Futbol Club and RocaJunyent have signed a collaboration agreement that aims to strengthen the commitment and support of Girona FC with sustainability. In this way, during the next fiscal year, it is expected not only to comply with current regulations and with the recommendations of the League and UEFA, but also to face the implementation at a strategic level of the necessary measures to move towards a management more aligned with sustainable development.
