Queensland’s Department of Resources (Mining Queensland) have opened consultation on the CSG-induced subsidence management framework.💡 The framework establishes a process to manage and reduce the impacts of subsidence on agricultural land, supporting coexistence between the resources and agricultural sectors. With less than two weeks to go before the UK goes to the polls, we have compiled an interactive publication that considers what the #PPP market would like to see the government do - and how it can take advantage of private finance to deliver a new wave of infrastructure delivery. A range of views from the market have coalesced around five key areas, covering things such as a simplified model, focusing on value for money, and developing a proper programme for handback. The Queensland Building and Construction Committee has announced that as of today, Friday 16 February 2023, licensees who hold category SC1, SC2, 1, 2, and 3 licences will no longer be required to prepare General Purpose Financial Statements when they need to submit an MFR Report to adjust their annual allowable turnover. This is a win for licence holders in these categories, in particular for growing businesses that do not need to spend the additional time and cost that comes with the preparation of General Purpose Financial Statements when they need to increase their annual allowable turnover due to continued growth. Instead, they will now be able to use the Special Purpose Financial Statements which are typically prepared on an annual basis when preparing the licensees Income Tax Return.
