Day 88. 129+ hostages remain in the brutal hands of Hamas and its terrorist affiliates. Including baby Kfir (11 months old) and his brother Ariel (4 years old). Any time I post about the hostages, I get at least 1-2 comments along the lines of, so does that justify killing X number of people in Gaza? Why is there so much hate that prevents people from acknowledging that what Hamas did and continues to do is nothing short of the most barbaric terrorism out there? To be clear: gleefully torturing entire families before massacring them, gunning down hundreds of innocent civilians at a music festival, raping and committing other disturbing sexual violence on women (and girls) and men (and boys) are nothing other than the gravest war crimes, worthy of universal condemnation. There is absolutely zero justification for that horrific conduct. Nor is there absolutely any justification for taking civilian hostages - including babies and children and the elderly (including Holocaust survivors). For torturing those civilian hostages while in captivity. Zero. Judging by the comments I'm still receiving (before screenshotting and deleting!), I feel like I need to repeat this message: Hamas is a terrorist organization. Stop defending Hamas. PS. What is it you do not understand LIZA K. ? The world has strong Moral values. To eliminate terror, to stop murder, not to accept kidnapping of anybody especially women and kids, to stand together against rape, mainly women organizations, but all are for human beings as they are human beings. If you feel the same indignation that a human with heart and soul would feel, please, you have to understand that the United Nations, The New York Times, BBC News, CNN, Haaretz and other pathetic feeds like The Guardian US have been portraying Israel as evil, violent and colonizer, while spreading the propaganda of terrorist groups disguised as "the resistance". This has been possible due to the constant use of "one sample statistics" to twerk reality. This has been happening for decades. We can see the results. Israel might be the most multicultural country on earth. It's a country with principles. A democracy with an exemplary judiciary system. There is no "political correctness" in Israeli justice, there is the rule of law. That is probably a big concern to all populist lefties in Europe and the US. And above all, I don't know other countries where terrorists get to finish college degrees in jail. In Israel, they do. I don't know other countries where kids of foreign terrorists or terror supporters are given the best treatment in their hospitals. Israel admits more than 100K Palestinians a year in their hospitals. That's the country that ignorants, antisemites and intellectually disabled people portray as apartheid or genocide perpetrator!!

Day 145. Where are the hostages? One of the most frustrating parts of ceasefire discussions is that we can even be talking about any ceasefire without the release of every single hostage still being held by Hamas and affiliates. In a normal world, everyone would be demanding the unconditional release of all hostages and the unconditional surrender of a terrorist group. But when you’re Israeli and/or Jewish, you learn the world is always upside down. That we have to negotiate with terrorists that hold innocent civilians hostage - including babies and the elderly, and women who continue to be raped while in captivity. And not only that. But the amount of open and often violent antisemitism right now everywhere in the world is appalling. Not only were our people, our families, our friends attacked in the most horrific and barbaric pogrom on October 7 - a horror that continues for 134+ hostages and their families - but the world started directing its outrage not at the terrorists, but at Jews everywhere. So for many of us: it still feels like October 7 in many ways. And so it will until all of the hostages are home. And so it will until the world starts recognizing that the group holding a baby and other civilians hostage is actually the bad guys - and then stops attacking us everywhere we live. PS. When we say “what you would have done during the Holocaust/Jim Crow/Slavery etc, is what you’re doing now” it is not an exaggeration. If you are protecting your income over speaking out, that’s what you would have done instead of aligning with MLK. If you are protecting your personal relationships instead of speaking out, that is what you would have done during the Holocaust. Those who are silent always hedge their bets. They get to tell their kids “well I was never PRO genocide”, but the fact is your silence is complicity. If you are silent you are pro the status quo. If the status quo is genocide, that is what you are de facto in support of.

Wise words! Learn to coexist in peace! There is no future for Israel based on the narrative of its radicals..... anyone who wants to claim the entire territory exclusively for themselves will only find eternal war, violence and destruction, whereas the moderates hold the key to peace by non-violent interaction and dialog as equals. Practically, it means in my opinion to go back to the times of Canaan and establish (democratic) autonomous communities and spread them over the entire territory of Canaan. These autonomous communities can coexist and come together in a confederation of communities, sharing the country. There is space for all cultural identities this way.
