Struggling with mission + vision? Try this roadtrip analogy 🚗🌳
It’s not mandatory to have a mission - vision statement for your company. And even if you do, it doesn’t always work.
There’s research that shows that only 29% of employees have a full understanding of their company’s mission and vision. Makes it hard to have everyone pull in the same direction.
Knowing what mission + vision stand for is the first step.
So, I started thinking about our last family roadtrip last Summer. What if you would apply mission + vision to that? As an analogy?
Plus, I threw in strategy, tactics and operations to get a bigger picture.
Here’s what I came up with:
➕ Mission: To have a fun and memorable day with my family.
➕ Vision: To create happy memories that will last a lifetime and bring us closer as a family.
➕ Strategy: To go on a roadtrip in the rural parts of our region.
➕ Tactics: Plan stops, food and drinks. Pack a basket with food and drinks, load up the car, make sure everyone’s in the car, and drive.
➕ Operations: Drive to planned stops, explore the grounds, set up a blanket, and unpack the basket.

I mean to say, I try to do a few trips every quarter with a group of clients to get the real picture.
Where I try to understand the client's needs and feedback on everything.
One trip to Ladakh completely changed my perspective a few years ago.

There's a better way to do it than a loom video or a blog post.
I often ask my prospects what's the goal of these - product adoption? upsells?
How are you tracking whether or not your customers are engaged with the content you push out during the product launches? Are you targeting those customers with a follow up after, if you saw they engaged?

''The end of an era''. It is with mixed emotions that I reach out to share some news about an upcoming change in my career journey. After an incredible and fulfilling tenure with Interprefy, I shall be bidding farewell to the company on Monday, August 28th, 2023.
Reflecting on the journey that began in January 2019, I am truly humbled by the remarkable path we've traversed together. Starting as the inaugural Sales Manager in Asia, I had the privilege of witnessing and contributing to the company's growth every step of the way. The journey has been nothing short of remarkable – from forming and leading a dynamic team to assuming roles such as Director of Global Sales, Global Head of Strategic Alliances, and most recently, Commercial Director of Interprefy Aivia.
The decision to move on wasn't an easy one, precisely because of the remarkable team, the exceptional product, and the endless potential that our innovative advancements promise for the future. The memories I've made during this time are countless and cherished, each contributing to my love for the journey here.
Thank you for your trust, your collaboration, and your partnership. Please know that even as I step into new opportunities, the connections and relationships we've nurtured will remain close to my heart.
