Ignorance is bliss. My co-founder, Sunil, was a Pharmacist for 25 yrs before building an app for himself & his pharmacies. When he tried to sell it to other pharmacies however, it turned out he knew nothing about pharmacy at all. He thought that every pharmacy worked just like his. They didn’t. So, when building Aquaint, we decided to do things differently. Hospitality venue operators are beacons of knowledge within their niche. However, everyone (especially independents & small chains) do things in weird and wonderful ways. By taking the time to understand these differences, we’ve been able to build something that works for everyone from the very beginning. We used the learnings from the early days of Pharmsmart that set the foundations towards making it the market-leading compliance app in the pharmacy space. This has enabled us to build hospitality’s most user friendly app 🧡 So, in our case ignorance has been bliss.

My Experience with ONDC Food Delivery: More Choices, Lower Prices, Happy Delivery Guys! I recently tried ordering food through ONDC via the Ola app, and I was pleasantly surprised! Beyond just getting a great deal, the experience highlighted the potential of this new network. Here's why: 1. Seamless Ordering on a Familiar App: Ordering through Ola, an app I already use for cab, was smooth and intuitive. No need to download another app! 2. Value for Money: Curiosity led me to compare prices on other food delivery platforms, and the difference was striking! My ONDC order came at a significantly lower price. 3. Efficient Delivery with a Human Touch: The delivery guy called once to inform me of his arrival, even though I was in a somewhat tricky location. While this personal touch isn't unique to ONDC, it added a positive note. Happy Deliveries, Happy People: What truly impressed me was his mention of doubling his income since joining ONDC, thanks to receiving orders from multiple platforms. This decentralized approach benefits not just consumers but also delivery staff! It's exciting to see redBus joining ONDC, opening doors to multimodal transportation bookings like auto rickshaws and even online metro tickets. While ONDC itself isn't an app, it's a super network which empowers existing & new apps to become "super apps" offering diverse services. This open, democratic approach holds immense potential for the future of digital commerce. In the US, our Digital Solutions team recently launched a geofencing-based mobile ordering system. When faced with challenges in measuring its effectiveness, they didn't just stick to the existing app update cycle. Instead, they created a new monitoring system that provided deeper insights without altering the app itself—a flexible solution that delivered faster results. In India, we took innovation even further with the EatQual initiative. Recognising that eating a burger can be challenging for those with limited arm mobility, we reframed this from an access issue to an experience problem. Through collaboration with NGOs and extensive research, we developed inclusive packaging that ensures everyone can enjoy their meals independently. We also implemented colour enhancement options in our app and website for individuals who are colour-blind. Users can select from 'Green-Red,' 'Red-Green,' and 'Blue-Yellow' options, allowing them to see the real colours of our food and make more informed decisions. These examples highlight the importance of looking at challenges through different lenses, creating innovative approaches that address specific needs and enhance the overall customer experience.
