The Ngao Foundation's mentorship program is designed to assist young individuals in answering three fundamental questions crucial for personal development: "Who am I?" This involves self-discovery and understanding one's identity. "Where am I going?" Focuses on clarifying personal goals and aspirations. And finally, "How do I get there?" Involves guidance and support to navigate the path towards their objectives. The program aims to empower the youth by providing mentorship that fosters self-awareness, direction, and actionable strategies for achieving their aspirations. LinkedIn asked what kind of mentoring program does our organization offer. In response: Our organization offers basically two different mentoring: 1. GROUP 1: Mentoring to the marginalized group we service. 2. GROUP 2: Mentoring to our volunteers and members within the organization. For GROUP 1: At BOFAI, we understand the transformative power of education in fostering a sustainable and equitable world. Hence, we are dedicated to promoting rehabilitation for individuals in correctional homes through our consistent mentorship programs and education on their legal rights. Our goal is to ensure their successful rehabilitation within the correctional system and facilitate their smooth reintegration into society through the knowledge acquired. Additionally, we aim to raise societal awareness about the challenges faced by individuals in correctional centers through our regular advocacy and sensitization efforts. So far, the organization has mentored over a thousand individuals in the last 4 years. For GROUP 2: We understand that our volunteers and members also need to be mentored on how to interact with these marginalized groups and even for their own personal development. Hence, we hold regular Knowledge Sharing Session (KSS) within the organization on diverse topics.
