We recently had our twice annual company-wide week off at Butter 🧈 🔌📴🔕 What a breath of fresh air! 🌬️ It’s a whole week where the entire team takes days off, fully paid. We schedule these breaks during the quieter periods—once in the slow days of summer and again during the Christmas through New Year's stretch. It’s a great way to truly switch off as nobody is dependent on anyone checking their Slack or email. You’re guaranteed you’re not going to receive any urgent messages from anyone during this week and you can rest assured no one is waiting on you to respond. The way it’s set up lets everyone fully relax. Some of us doing customer support still peek in now and again for urgent issues, but fortunately most requests can wait till we’re back, fully recharged. 🔋 Makes so much sense for everyone to take time off at the same time! Synchronizing our downtime is a real game-changer for maximizing relaxation! Any other founders doing the same thing with their team? Let me know what other ways you’ve explored taking time off with your team!

The new year is here, and with it comes the perfect opportunity to set fresh goals for your team and venue. But how do you ensure those goals lead to real results? Let’s dive into my second tip for getting your team off to the right start in 2025! Goal-setting isn’t just about dreaming big—it’s about creating actionable objectives that align with your vision for the year ahead. Here’s how to set meaningful goals that matter: 1️⃣ Define Your Goals Clearly Focus on what will make the biggest impact, whether it’s improving guest satisfaction scores, enhancing team engagement, or reducing turnover. Specific, well-defined goals provide direction and purpose. 2️⃣ Make Them Measurable Set benchmarks to track your progress. For example, aim to increase guest satisfaction by 15% or reduce wait times by 10%. Measuring success helps keep your team motivated and on track. 3️⃣ Share the Vision Ensure every team member understands how their role contributes to the bigger picture. When your team feels connected to the “why” behind the goals, they’re more invested in achieving them. What’s your team’s top goal for 2025? I’d love to hear what you’re working towards this year. I’ll be back with my next tip on Wednesday—how to reconnect with your team after the festive season.

As we step into the new year, it's natural to see a flood of posts across platforms, including LinkedIn, celebrating new beginnings & exciting chapters. But perhaps your new year feels a little different—quieter, a continuation of last year, or even feeling by a bit of the "Janu-worry blues." It's easy to get caught up in the hype of "starting fresh," but the reality is that most of us are simply picking up where we left off, navigating the blues that sometimes come with January, and slowly finding our rhythm again. Remember: it’s only Day 7. The year has just begun. Give yourself grace and space to set the tone for your 2025 at your own pace. Momentum takes time. One thing that’s helped me ease into the year is a simple exercise I love: Start, Stop & Continue. Here’s how it works (and you can apply it to both your professional and personal life): 🚀 What do you want to start doing this year? 🛑 What do you want to stop doing this year? 🔥 What do you want to continue doing this year? It’s a simple way to build on what you’ve already achieved, making new goals feel less overwhelming while celebrating last year’s wins. P.S. Sharing a little behind-the-scenes reality: The picture is of my dining room table today, still holding last year’s clutter, my 2024 diary (I’m still getting 2025 sorted!), and some Christmas stickers. Here’s to embracing the imperfection and starting where you are.

November has arrived. We kicked the month off this morning with a great "pitch" to support a company rebrand ahead of its 25th Anniversary—preparing leadership for scaled growth ahead. Earning trust by building honest brands through the people that must live them is what gets me out of bed most mornings. Our team lights up when we're asked to support a brand awakening. Reflecting back on the past few months, I am grateful for a slurry of great brainstorming discussions with our clients and teams. I appreciate the patience, the process and the desire to make each build both enjoyable and valuable. Most notably, I enjoy the people we get to meet. And the value each brings to the table. Some goals are coming clearly into focus. And some are still in need of a framework and set of actionable tasks to move into Q1. As we look forward to 2025, there are a few common threads that I continue to hear, including: • How can we do more when our budgets might be cut? • How do remain resilient by identifying the best ways to experiment with our campaigns given tighter budgets? • How do we remain effective with so many channels and distractions? If you're nudging your planning efforts forward, we have just a few weeks before the holidays arrive and we all (happily) prioritize the importance of family and tradition. Before that time arrives, I encourage you to focus in and double down on your conversations over the next few weeks. Give yourself the space to kick around some ideas with your partners. Take the opportunity to be creative, divergent and experimental. Do something rather than nothing. And then take some time for a holiday respite. Be present with your families and hit January 2nd with new energy.

How have you been?Collaboration is indeed key to driving success and fostering a strong community. Given my role as a loan broker, there are numerous opportunities to partner with other organizations and companies in the financial industry. Is there specific types of partnerships or networking opportunities , Perhaps I can help identify some potential collaborators or strategies to enhance someone's network.
