Welcome to the team, Eric! We recently had the pleasure of Eric Maier joining Aptima as a Senior Information Systems Specialist. Previously working in automotive manufacturing, Eric made the switch to the DoD space to expand on his personal and professional development. Since he’s someone who builds computers in his spare time, we know he will fit right in working in our Information Systems department. Switching industries can be a bold and exciting move. What goals or motivations have driven your own career transitions? #Aptima #HumanCenteredEngineering #NewHire #CareerTransition

Please join us in welcoming Stephanie Fussell to our team! Stephanie joins us as a scientist in our Training, Learning, and Readiness department. When we asked her why she chose to work at Aptima, she said "Aptimists brought me here: Working alongside Summer Rebensky and Shawn Turk at the GRILL. Meeting Isabella Perault at HFES. Getting to know people over trivia in Dayton. The passion for the research and the company itself was always clear. When Summer first asked if I would be interested in working with Aptima, I already knew the answer was 'yes' based on being around Aptimists and their work. Then I learned more about the culture, the values, and the goals of the company. And I still knew the answer was 'yes.' The things that make Aptima stand out, including the human-centered approach, use of interdisciplinary-expertise, and a commitment to accelerate learning while pushing innovation, all resonate with me. These things excite me. I am excited to grow with a company that has values and goals which align with my own." Stephanie embodies the collaborative spirit and innovative thinking that defines Aptima. We're excited for the journey ahead! When I was at Southern Methodist University SMU Cox School of Business , The SMU Cox Caruth Institute For Entrepreneurship I learned a life-transforming lesson from one of my favorite professors - the late Bill Bartles. Besides being a brilliant mind, an exceptionally successful entrepreneur, a great teacher, an incredibly kind and brave person, he was the most inspiring person I have met in my life. ( If you have had the privilege to attend a lecture by Professor Bartles you will understand why I said what I said). Professor Bartles told us a story through a case study about how an entrepreneur build a wildly successful business WITHOUT A SINGLE EMPLOYEE. HE ONLY USED GIG WORKERS. As he unpacked the essence of the case study, Professor Bartles told us - "The most powerful tool in your toolkit is your rolodex." ( If there are any young people reading this post, this is where you google rolodex.) 25 years of lived experience in the tech industry has proven this to be true. Whenever I am in any situation, I am consciously or unconsciously aware of people who move me with their brilliance. And when I witness this brilliance, it goes into my rolodex. Sometimes, there are moments in the future, when I need to add greatness to my team. This is when I ask my rolodex of greatness for a referral. It rarely fails me. One of my rolodex's greatest successes has been Anuradha Aravindh Raj. I was a speaker at Jamie Kriegel's Scrum Masters of the Universe webinar. Anu was my host. I noticed how Anu took care of every little detail with love, kindness, grace, humor, integrity and a relentless, uncompromising commitment to her customers. "WOW!" I thought to myself. "I am witnessing greatness." She automatically went into my rolodex of greatness. A few months later, I had an opening at a client. Before I posted the opening on a job board, I asked my rolodex who might be a good fit. The answer was Anu. Asked her if she was available. She said yes. It clicked and the rest is history. 2 key lessons... 1. For those who lack joy in their work life - go where you are celebrated, don't stay where you are tolerated. Go where you can be your naturally great self, even if it is a volunteer position. 2. For everyone - there is greatness in front of our eyes wherever we go, we just need to be present to it. Where do you get to be great? Where have you witnessed greatness and added it to your rolodex? Thanks Anuradha Aravindh Raj. Here's to the next 6 months and hopefully many more years together.

6 Months! Today marks six months since I joined Rezoomex, and what an incredible journey it has been! I’m immensely grateful to Ravi Verma (PST, CPCC, CRP) for introducing me to this amazing organization where people and remote work are truly valued. At Rezoomex, we don’t just preach—we live what we teach. The freedom to work from home, the autonomy to think and act, and the strong cultural fit make this place second to none. Each day, I wake up motivated to do more, thanks to the inspiring journey I’ve had working alongside brilliant colleagues like Justina Samanta, Hrishikesh Bidwe and Ravi Verma (PST, CPCC, CRP)! A heartfelt thank you to Vinayak Joglekar for your outstanding leadership. I feel safe, happy, and excited to learn and give my best every day. Here’s to many more years of learning, growth, and joy! Can you picture me beaming and doing a happy dance? What’s one thing you love about your current workplace? #WorkAnniversary #WorkLifeBalance #RemoteWork #GreatColleagues

Congratulations to Shivam Saini on his work anniversary milestone! Your passion and drive continue to elevate our team. Here's to many more years of collaboration and success! 🎊 Here's how his past year with Aurochs has been: "Overall, I've had a very positive experience working on multiple projects this past year. I've been fortunate to work on MIBL and Aljomaih which have been both challenging and rewarding projects for me. While there have been challenges, such as new features in workflows, time management, and close deadlines, I've appreciated the support from my team and managers in overcoming them. I've had several significant accomplishments that I believe have contributed to our team's success. I also learned how to streamline our processes to reduce the processing time and efforts made to build the system. While leading the projects I improved my client communications, which helped me to understand their business requirements more efficiently. As a result, I have acquired proficiency in client management and analyzing complex data which helped me to deliver the projects with high accuracy and efficiency. During this year I was aligned to an ongoing project's implementation. It was difficult to understand because of the complexity the project's brought with it. To overcome it I prepared the HLDs to understand it, I went through the plan documents, also connected with the client for understanding and delivering the right data." #WorkAnniversary #EmployeeAppreciation #TeamWork #CompanyValues #MilestoneCelebration #AppreciationPost #EmployeeRecognition

It’s my Five Year Anniversary at Sempra!✨ I can’t believe how much has happened in the past five years. I’m filled with gratitude and honored to continue to grow my career in this organization. With over 17 years of experience as a corporate creative there are many lessons that I’ve learned, here are 5 that keep me anchored 📝: 1. Know your values: Your core principles and beliefs help inform and shape your authentic self. 2. Be transparent: I believe in sharing information and communicating clearly and consistently to help promote collaboration and understanding. 3. Express gratitude: Send that “thank you” email or delight someone with a physical card or post-it note; it means more than you think! 4. Build good relationships: I treat everyone with dignity and respect, no matter their job title. A little kindness goes a long way, we humans could use a bit more grace and compassion. 5. Bet on yourself: Quit the job, apply for that role, ask for the promotion, register for Harvard Business School! I keep betting on myself and upping the ante, and it always seems to work out. Don’t let fear block your success. Lastly, I wouldn’t be here without the support of my family, friends and team. Thank you for your unwavering encouragement, it means more than you know. And a special shout out to my manager, Sara M. who leads by example and is committed to helping the team achieve their goals. Below are a handful of behind the scenes photos from my work during the last 5 years at Sempra! 📸👩🏾💻 #WeAreSempra #workanniversary #5years #corporatecreative #inhousedesign
