📣 Introducing: Comments 📣 Have you ever wanted to get feedback from your team on an Arcade? Now with comments 💬. you can mention a colleague and collaborate on any step in an Arcade. We've also created an inbox, so you'll never miss a message. Ways teams are using comments: 1️⃣ Sales teams can give feedback to Arcade creators about what is resonating with customers in the market. 2️⃣ Marketing teams can upload any asset, including videos, or PNGs — and get feedback and approval. 3️⃣ Product teams can share early Figma designs and share internally with the team for early feedback. ---- According to Steven Brisley, Head of Marketing at Camus Energy (and beta tester!), "Commenting has made providing and responding to feedback much more efficient. It really helps us engage people from across teams." ---- P.S. We're so excited for you to try it that we've also added an 'Ask the Arcade Expert' functionality, where our team can give you feedback on your Arcades and provide suggestions. Simply '@' mention us and we'll join you in your demo. Try for yourself 😊 (link in comments).

Oh well, I was prototyping the other day, and I made a rookie mistake 🤦♂️ I wanted to create a scrollview with a bunch of AVPlayerLooper instances, so it can display and loop a sample transition video. I was not sure if SwiftUI with LazyHStack would do the trick - there is a hard limit of how many players can be displayed at once. Instead of creating ObservableObject, I simply just put the whole table inside the view - it’s a prototype after all! It would be alright except that I decided to conform to Identifiable and add the id as a random UUID(). The ScrollView with LazyHStack worked as expected, but each time the modal has been updated, the whole view has also been updated, that’s because of the random id. The video starts to flicker, and the performance is terrible. Even when prototyping, always do things the right way. It will save you time 😅

Senior UX Writer | Crafting User-Centric, Inclusive, and Scalable Content | Advocate for Usable & Accessible Experiences | Metrics & moods 🖤
Many people ask me (I always wanted to say that lol) how to start working on a portfolio. One good idea can be to take a live project and suggest improvements :) Take Parkable for instance, and have fun! I've been using that app for some days now and it has great potential! You'll be able to tackle issues regarding navigation, content strategy & comms touchpoints, info hierarchy, microcopy, UI, user flows, Subscription methods, Check out... you name it. Don't forget the legal disclaimers 🤫 PS: check out how the tone I used and the words I picked took a "name & shame" post to a common ground of growth and improvement! Never underestimate the power of words kthnxbyeeee

Recently worked on a prototype for an app that helps users view places both as a list and on a map. The challenge was to keep both ways of viewing, but not introduce a separate button to switch. The solution turned out to be to use a bottom sheet, which made the process more intuitive. This video is a screencast from my prototype. It's not just a demo of the interface, but an important development tool. Lately, I always make screencasts for complex prototypes so that developers have fewer questions about the dynamics of the elements. What's interesting is that the prototype itself took 11 hours of work, but it took 3 hours to put together this one-minute video - and it covers not all scenarios! How do you tackle the issue of visibility in your projects? Do you make screencasts for your prototypes?

Day 36 of Learning Today’s Focus: Microinteractions ✨ Microinteractions are those small, often unnoticed details that make a huge difference in user experience. Feedback: Ever notice those instant alerts like success messages ✅ or loading spinners ⏳? They keep users in the loop and make sure they know their actions are being processed. Guidance: Tooltips 💡 and step-by-step walkthroughs 🚶♂️ are like friendly guides that help users understand what to do next without feeling lost. Input: Live previews 🔤 and real-time suggestions 🔍 are like having a helpful assistant right there, making sure what you’re typing or selecting is just right. Navigation: Smooth transitions 📱 and responsive buttons ⚡ make moving around an app feel effortless and natural, almost like it’s guiding you along. Visuals: Subtle animations 🔄 and dynamic effects 🔧 add a touch of magic, making the app feel alive and keeping users engaged.

📖 Case Study: How Capchase tested new product concepts 4x faster with Arcade --- "The best thing about it [Arcade] is that it allows for very quick iteration. In the time it would take me to do one Figma prototype, I could have created or iterated on three or four Arcades." --- In our latest case study, we spoke with Ignacio Moreno Pubul, co-founder at Capchase, about why the Capchase team used Arcade to iterate on new product concepts, get user feedback, and drive more signups. https://lnkd.in/egnsziYF
