« Graph Dynamic Earth Net: Spatio-Temporal Graph Benchmark for Satellite Image Time Series » 📢 I am happy to share that our recent research on exploiting satellite image time series using graph learning, presented at the IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society (GRSS) conference IGARSS 2023 held in California last July, is finally published. 👉 This work proposes a new way of jointly exploiting the spatial and temporal dimension of satellite image time series, by representing it not by a datacube but by a spatio-temporal graph. We highlight the possibility of learning from this type of structure for a remote sensing application requiring large-scale, high-resolution data. You can access the full paper here: https://lnkd.in/eBZ9aFbh The up-to-date code is available on: https://lnkd.in/eF96crjV #remotesensing #deepeearning #graph #igarss23 #ieee Université Bretagne Sud CNES

OHB Hellas is going to IGARSS! The 44th 2024 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (IGARSS 2024) is an annual event organized by the IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society and attended by thousands of esteemed scientists and professionals in the Remote Sensing field. We are happy to say that this year's symposium is hosted in Greece for the first time, giving us the opportunity to meet up with international colleagues and partners on our home turf. On the 11th of July, during the "Edge Computing Meets AI in Space" session, Antonis Karteris and Evgenios Tsigkanos will be presenting the latest paper of OHB Hellas, titled "TOWARDS AI ONBOARD EO SATELLITES: ASSESSMENT OF VIRTUALIZATION TECHNIQUES FOR EXTREME EDGE COMPUTING", prepared in collaboration with the National Technical University of Athens and the University of West Attica. In this paper, we explore, compare and evaluate different techniques for hardware virtualization in space, with our research spanning hypervisors, virtual machines, containers and even unikernels. The study involves both a theoretical analysis of the different techniques, as well as a hands-on deployment and evaluation of them on space-representative hardware. The study yielded important insights on the advantages and drawbacks of the different techniques, culminating in a strategic guide for selecting the most appropriate virtualization technique according to the needs of an upcoming space mission. Further info: - https://lnkd.in/gXBhKksa - https://lnkd.in/dk_amWG5 See below for a glimpse of the different architectures we created for the experimental study. Looking forward to seeing you there! #IGARSS24 #Virtualization #We.Create.Space #OHB
