2moThe foodie revolution has brought greater appreciation to what our peasant ancestors made masterfully from whatever they had. In my old age, I am increasingly interested in what can be accomplished with real commonplace budgets. Glorious Architecture has its place, but as far as habitation is concerned, people need places that work for them affordably and meaningfully. If this be Philistine, so be it, I don't need to remind you what a huge problem this is. It would be great if those living spaces supported good living. Re-read the lecture 'Dwelling' by Ivan Illich.
