Great progress Mike! We started acquiring the neighboring properties at Astro Shopping Center over 7 years ago to make this redevelopment possible. Thanks for everyone's contributions over the years and to date. Looking forward to bringing a more convenient, accessible and attractive shopping center to the community. Fun fact: I grew up in the Meadowood neighborhood immediately behind Astro. The old gas station on the corner is where I spent my pocket change to buy candy as a youngster. Take a look at the impressive overhaul at Westside Family Care in Wilmington, Delaware! The recently revamped 6,200 square-foot space now features 12 new exam rooms, 2 team quarters, a vibrant kids' corner, and a spacious waiting area. A big shoutout to our exceptional project team for their exceptional work on this project. WOW! Take a look at the new apartments on Main Street in Newark, DE. Project Manager Nick Fedyk really out did himself on this one. We couldn't be more pleased with how the 56 apartments with retail spaces, a leasing office, and covered parking turned out. Homes for America is excited to announce a major milestone for the Elizabeth Cornish Landing (ECL) community in Bridgeville, DE. We've been awarded 9% competitive tax credits for the proposed rehabilitation of the community, marking our first project with the Delaware State Housing Authority. In total, the project will rehabilitate all 62 units, providing a fresh start for the residents and the community. Our plan includes a complete overhaul of the community spaces, introducing new amenities such as charging stations, a fitness center, a community garden, and potentially a dog park. This accomplishment wouldn't have been possible without the incredible contributions of our team and partners. Freire Charter School's new athletic center was the place to be Wednesday evening! The ribbon cutting ceremony was heavily attended and full of cheer. Performances by the school’s cheer team, dance team, and drum line showed Dragon Pride! It sure didn't hurt to receive recognition from the school for the work we provided. We will always be grateful to be a part of the team that made the school’s dream of multipurpose facility that benefits all of their students.
