This week, Harkins joined Pennrose, Moseley Architects, and other project partners to celebrate the grand opening of Glenarden Phase III, with a ribbon cutting ceremony in Glenarden, MD. We are proud to officially add 158 townhome units across 14 buildings to the Glenarden community. These townhomes offer a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom options, with added amenities such as a swimming pool and sports court. Yesterday, our Harkins Young Professionals Experience (HYPE) affinity group hosted a LinkedIn 101 event at our corporate headquarters. The team delivered an insightful presentation on LinkedIn, covering why it’s a crucial tool for professional networking and career growth. Reflecting on the event, Estimator I Lucia Aldave said, "As someone who isn't on LinkedIn that often, the HYPE team helped me understand the importance of building a strong network and actively engaging with the content my connections share. Now, I see LinkedIn not just as a platform, but as a key tool for growth and staying connected with industry insights." A big thank you to our HYPE co-chairs, Estimator II Luke Palmisano, Communications Coordinator Kayla Held, and Assistant Project Manager Christina Fritz for educating our employee-owners on the value of LinkedIn and empowering them to enhance their professional presence. #buildingexceptional

Harkins is making great strides at our Miller's Grant Phase II project in Ellicott City, MD. Currently, the independent living building is finishing underground rough ins, and the last slab will be poured soon. Over at the senior health care building, the hollow core plank just completed on the first floor, and second floors walls are expected to start this week. Lastly, the foundation walls at the performing arts center are just about finished. When complete, Miller's Grant Phase II will feature an addition of three buildings to the existing Miller's Grant campus. The first building will be a four-story, wood framed, independent living building. The second building will be a two-story senior health care building that will be noncombustible and ties into the existing assisted living building. Lastly, the third building will be a performing arts center that provides a large chapel area, kitchen, theater, multipurpose room, and more. In addition to the three buildings, there will be a multitude of amenities such as pergolas, fire pits, a rooftop terrace, outdoor kitchen and more.
