I had the pleasure of taking Professor Harry Korine’s Corporate Governance and Stakeholder Management course during my Sloan Programme at LBS. At the end of that course, I wrote a report that examined the dynamics of shareholder activism unleashed by Engine No. 1 on ExxonMobil  in 2021. Interesting to see another example of investors aligning their portfolios with sustainable business practices in yesterday’s FT. This development underscores the evolving landscape of corporate governance and responsible business practices, and the importance of stakeholder engagement in the energy transition strategy adopted by oil majors.
