To address this, a 200% neutral conductor in busways is recommended to ensure the safe handling of these higher currents and to prevent overheating and potential damage to the system.

How much damage can one TINY speck of dirt really do? A LOT. PV connectors are often left uncapped during solar construction. But this practice REALLY grinds my gears. When connectors are uncapped - for long periods during construction - dirt and moisture get inside. That dirt mucks up the internal working of the connector. It increases resistance and gets HOT. The risk of electrical shorts goes way up. You can see tiny specks of dirt inside of a connector in this #XCT scan. They’re nearly microscopic, but they still caused MAJOR problems at a site our team recently visited. In a worst-case scenario, uncapped connectors lead to a thermal event in a few years.
