How do we do glass differently?
We’re reinventing the industry from the ground up to achieve new levels of flexibility, innovation and sustainability.
With best-in-class upgrades to our Valdosta, Georgia facility, including an AI-enabled, closed-loop production network and on-site, post-consumer recycling plant, we are on track to be the most sustainable and technologically advanced glass container manufacturer in North America!
See how we’re doing it below.
At Our Glass, we are creating the next generation of flexible, efficient and sustainable glass production. There's now a much more diverse consumer that demands different bottles, different sizes, different formats, much more so than in the past. Next generation machines capable of producing up to six products of different colors and weights are Valdosta facility delivers unmatched flexibility for all glass container buyers. One of the main things that makes our facility more innovative than others is this technology is really only used in our plan. It's not used anywhere else in the United States. When I first got asked to come over to our glass, I was told about one of the most advanced glass facilities in the world with all the technology just needed to know how we are learning everyday and this technology help us to be more predicted. The heart of this is the technology. The entire plant is connected to a real time monitoring system that helps employees continuously increase the quality and consistency of all glass products. This is the most sustainable glass plant in the United States and future expansion will push the limits of sustainability even further and negative carbon footprint materials and higher electrical melting capacity, solar and hydrogen ready supply and direct source recycled glass. The Valdosta plant sets the bar for eco friendliness and glass manufacturing. Did our glass with a clear objective to use innovation, technology and unconventional thinking to break with tradition in glass container production.

Aluminum cans have always been hailed for their sustainability, thanks to their infinite recyclability. But we're not stopping there. With our industry partners by our side, we're all diving deep into innovative solutions to reduce our environmental footprint. Whether it's bolstering the recycled content of can-bodies or pioneering the use of recycled aluminum in new can end profiles, we're leaving no stone unturned.
The momentum to cut down material usage is gaining traction, especially with European can makers and aluminum can sheet suppliers aiming for a bold target: achieving 100% recycling by 2030. This shared goal shows the powerful teamwork driving the beverage can towards a secure and sustainable future within a circular economy.
As we tackle these green challenges head-on, it's crystal clear that our collaborative spirit goes beyond just meeting BPA regulations.

🌟 Webinar Alert: The Future of Glass on February 26!
TAMARA - There Are Many Alternatives, Ready and Available !
💡 When it comes to zero waste and glass packaging, we see more and more reuse providers and reuse pilots emerge everyday.
🍾 Just think of Pieter Pot, the first zero waste supermarket in The Netherlands, Weijnschenk, where you get to pour your favorite wine straight from the barrel, or the reusable wine bottles of Retour de France and Cantina alla Spina, one of many speakers at the Reusable Packaging Fair.
🔎What’s the catch? There’s still a large focus on brands, which forces consumers and restaurants to sort out the different types of packaging, with of course room for error.
🤔 Want to learn more about the potential impact of reuse and the biggest opportunities and challenges in reusing glass? On Monday, February 26, Nienke Nijholt and Elise Lippens, along with Thijs Wester from PAKT, will be hosting a webinar on The Future of Glass.

📈 New data on container glass collection for recycling in Europe is now available!
The EU’s glass value chain sustains a steady 80.2% glass packaging collection rate with record volume of collected glass 💪
💬 “More glass packaging was collected in 2022 than ever before, reaching a record level of 12.4 million tonnes, representing an increase of about 542 000 tonnes over the previous year. The increase in volumes of collected glass demonstrates the resilience and commitment of the glass packaging value chain to increase the availability of post-consumer glass for the manufacturing of new glass bottles and jars," says Adeline Farrelly, Secretary General of FEVE – the European Container Glass Federation on behalf of Close the Glass Loop partners.
