After WW II, there was so much Western guilt about the Holocaust that, even though Jews owned less than 10% of the land of historic Palestine, Israel was given 56% of the land and 80% of the coast. And, Israel was given the most arable lands. The racism of that is obvious. What is less obvious to many in the West today (but clear to just about everyone else, especially in the Global South) is that the 2-State solution is fundamentally racist to the core because it acknowledges that white people can take land from brown people and do whatever they want with it (including partitioning it so that white people now have 78% of the land). Let me be clear, white people do not have the right to create Israel and then demand everyone else recognize its right to exist. Historical Persecution of Jews: Many argue that the historical suffering of Jews, particularly during the Holocaust, creates a moral imperative for the establishment of a safe haven in Israel. They claim that this historical context justifies the actions taken to secure a Jewish state, even if it resulted in the displacement of Palestinians.’ My counter:  how historical context can justify killings and robbing of land and homes. Hitler and many other unleashed atrocities therefore  as the compensation the Germany can offer land and homes to Jews but the people of Palestine had nothing to do with war crimes of Nazis so why they should be deprived of their homes and lands. 2 If historical context justifies the actions taken to secure a Jewish state then there were many injustices against Native Americans and Black and aboriginals of Australia. During colonial and imperial eras there were many injustices as well. Now if the precedence is established to invoke historical context so it will be too dangerous and will have the serious ramifications. The world can demand lands for Native Americans and Black and aboriginals of Australia and subjects of imperial empires

Our social media feeds are full of Palestinian death and dehumanization by the Israeli military: children left as the sole caregivers of their siblings after their parents are killed, Palestinian prisoners stripped naked and handcuffed, amputations and c-sections with no anesthesia, survivors of the Nakba traumatized again and again, adults and children lined up and numbered, the bodies of Palestinians discarded after execution by Israeli soldiers... ...The experiences of our ancestors’ persecution and mass death under fascism now serve as the foundation for how we define modern genocides. The genocide we are witnessing in Palestine by the Israeli military is yet another outgrowth from the same fascist mechanisms that extinguished the lives of over 6 million Jews during the Nazi Holocaust... ...The Warsaw Ghetto uprising is the most well known act of Jewish resistance to the Nazi regime’s fascism. The refusal of Warsaw Jews to accept the violent fate the Nazis prescribed to them, and instead fight back, reminds us all of our duty to resist oppression wherever it is. We hold these ancestors close and affirm our commitment to ensuring their values of solidarity, collective liberation, and anti-imperialism are carried on into the future as we fight for justice in Palestine.
