On United Nations World Cities Day, we wanted to shine a spotlight on the part we have played in shaping the skyline of Rotterdam in our home country, the Netherlands. In particular, four buildings with Scheldebouw façades are central to life in the busy port city: 🏙 Timmerhuis – one of the most energy-efficient buildings in the Netherlands and home to a museum, retail outlets, offices and luxury apartments 🏙 B-Tower – a 19-storey, 70m high residential building at the heart of the city centre 🏙 De Rotterdam – a riverside building conceived as a ‘vertical city’, housing offices, apartments, a hotel, conference facilities, shops and restaurants across a surface of around 162,000 sq m 🏙 Maastoren – the second tallest building in the Netherlands at 165m, commissioned as the Dutch headquarters of Deloitte We’re proud to play a part in creating buildings like these – striking visual landmarks that are also vibrant, sustainable, safe spaces for people to live, work and play. #Rotterdam #cities #WorldCitiesDay #PermasteelisaGroup #facades

We have awarded Amsterdam's Tower Ten a Platinum ActiveScore. Part of the World Trade Center (WTC) Amsterdam, this impressive building offers 'the highest quality and comfort in both the individual offices and communal areas.' Sustainability was a key consideration in the design of Tower Ten, which was designed by PLP Architecture: 'The building stays one step ahead of Amsterdam’s evolving planning regulations, aiming to meet the goals of the Paris Climate Accord'—in addition to reusing the existing structure to retain embodied carbon, Tower Ten was also designed with efficiency at its heart. In fact, a new A+++ energy rating had to be introduced to accurately capture the building's performance and low operational carbon use.' Situated in the Zuidas district of the city (known as the 'Financial Mile'), WTC offers excellent transport links – Schiphol airport and the city centre are minutes away by train or metro from nearby Amsterdam Zuid station.
