The Joy of Discovery: Why Sourcing High Street Finds Is a Game Changer in Interior Design 🛋️✨ As an interior designer, it's easy to overlook high street brands in favor of luxury or bespoke options. But the happiness that comes from sourcing items was always going to be about the discovery, not just the price tag. I've found that some of my most successful projects were made special by high street gems—pieces that added character, warmth, and unexpected charm to a space. The high street offers an incredible range of furniture, fixtures, and fittings (FF&F) that can stand out when styled thoughtfully. Pro Tips for Sourcing FF&F on the High Street: Look Beyond the Obvious: Don’t just go for the big names. Small, independent stores on the high street often carry unique items that you won’t find elsewhere. Mix and Match: Combine high street finds with higher-end pieces to create a balanced and personalised look. Focus on Versatility: Choose items that can easily be styled in different ways. This gives you more flexibility in future projects. Quality Check: High street doesn't always mean low quality. Always inspect materials and craftsmanship—some pieces can be just as durable as their pricier counterparts. Stay Updated: High street collections change frequently. Regular visits or following brands online can lead to some amazing discoveries. Remember, great design isn't about the cost of the item, but how it contributes to the overall story of a space. Next time you're sourcing, don't discount the high street—you might just find your next treasure there. #InteriorDesign #SourcingTips #HighStreetFinds #InteriorInspiration #DesignDiscovery

Shopping is an entire experience for your customer, right from when they’re first standing outside your store and making a decision to come in…to long after they have purchased something and left again. Once inside your store, the design and interior layout specifically needs to live up their expectations…and it needs to continue on their journey of discovery. Everything – including your products, layout, furniture, fittings and how your staff act and approach this customer – needs to confirm and satisfy their original decision to enter your store – and they need to leave feeling nurtured and valued by you…whether they’ve bought from you this time or not. #storedesign #journeyofdiscovery #makingadecision #experience #customer #store #design #purchase

THE THREE MOST IMPORTANT POINTS OF CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE. Retailers of decor, furniture, lighting, finishing materials and other interior elements looking for efficient and economical formats should become parterres, not just "suppliers" for architects and interior designers. And designers must make adjustments to their business model for more sustainable growth of their business. POINT 1. Personalization and exclusivity For many years, the interior design market has demonstrated a steady demand for the creation of individual exclusive interior solutions. "Individual" sizes of furniture, multi-purpose spaces of a premium level at a fair price. POINT 2. Trust Trust is an important factor. Customer trust can be meaningfully won only when people acquire a tactile experience of the proposed concepts for residential projects. An "immersive" experience in a physical space that makes customers feel at home is needed. POINT 3. Delivery and collection in "white gloves" Exceptional advertising and merchandising will undoubtedly lead to sales. But delivery and collection services, which are the "last" in the sales chain, can minimize all your customer's "credit", if this service is not configured properly. That is, performed in "white gloves"! A customer's experience on these three points will determine whether they will be your company's promoters or detractors for years to come. This experience should be customized to be an extension of your brand. #retail #furniture #decor #design
