🦆 This is my duck 🦆 There are many like this duck. But this duck is mine. Reflecting on my time at the Themed Entertainment Association #SATE a couple of weeks ago, a message that resonated deeply with me came from both Lisbeth Skrumsager from the LEGO Group and Mike Ganderton from LEGO House. They kindly provided the delegation with six bricks and encouraged us to make our own #duck. "With only six (4x2) bricks, there are precisely 915,103,765 possibilities." They were right. I've never seen so many awesomely different ducks. This exercise reminded me of a few important things we hold near and dear at Storyland Studios: ✨ Creativity is Boundless - The sheer number of possible combinations with just six bricks shows that the limits of creativity are only bound by our imagination. ⚗ Experimentation is Key - Experimenting with different combinations leads to unexpected and innovative results. It's a reminder that trial and error is a crucial part of the creative process. 💡 Value Different Ideas - Each person's interpretation and creation are unique, underscoring the importance of diverse perspectives and ideas. 🛠 Resourcefulness is a Skill - Making the most of what you have and seeing potential in simplicity is a valuable skill in creativity and problem-solving. 🎈 Encourage Play & Imagination - Engaging in playful activities can spark creativity and encourage thinking outside the box. It's important to allow space for imagination and fun. For the two minutes I made this fella, I was reminded of when my dad and I would often go off the instructions ( 😱 ), laugh a lot and just make #fun stuff together. My duck, whose new home is my desk, will be a reminder of the importance of #imagination, #experimentation, and the nearly endless #possibilities we are capable of offering individually and as an industry ... ... or, it might just be an awesome duck named Duck Norris 🦆 🥋 #themedentertainment #ducklife

Part 3 : Let creativity soar...with Squiggle Birds   In my last post, I talked about the power of #drawing and #visualisation to bring more #creativity, #imagination, #innovation and #experimentation.   The challenge - this may not be what people are used to. "I don't draw" ... "I'm no artist". As with any step into the unknown, there can often be a reluctance to try it.   But no one needs to be an artist to see the benefits of this approach. We just need to demonstrate that.
