#RobinWarren, innovative Australian pathologist who battled medical wisdom on #ulcers (stress-related, right?), earned a 2005 #Nobel with colleague Barry Marshall. On July 23, Dr. Warren passed away. His very novel idea, defying the 1980s standard of care, reflected his research that identified a bacterial origin for common ulcers. As proof, colleague Barry Marshall swallowed that bacteria-spiked liquid, was ill in 3 days, and was cured by antibiotics. That changed research globally and rewrote medical textbooks on (what they coined as) #Helicobacterpylori (H. pylori) bacteria for its impact on the gut. Over 50% of the globe suffers from it (usually, it's asymptomatic). Go to any commercial lab in the US, and they will test you for it (a smart step for anyone). A fully deserved global "Thank You," Dr. Warren. -- #ulcers #Hpylori #gutbacteria #ulcertreatment #medicalinnovation #pathology Larry Chapoy Greg Cullison Rose Li

🚨 Exciting news! Our latest article, titled "Characterization and Automatic Discrimination between Predominant Hypoperfusion and Hyperperfusion Stages of NPDR," has just been published in the Journal of Personalized Medicine. 💡 In this study, Luis Mendes, Maria Luísa Ribeiro, Inês Pereira Marques, Conceição Lobo and José Cunha-Vaz showed that although both hypoperfusion and hyperperfusion may be present in all NPDR stages, there is a predominance of hypoperfusion in the initial stages and a predominance of hyperperfusion in the later stages. 📖 https://lnkd.in/d7NYCZhR

While the scientific evidence supporting specific healing frequencies is limited, some proponents of sound therapy believe that each frequency corresponds to specific properties or effects. It's important to approach these concepts with an understanding that they are part of alternative and complementary medicine and may not be universally accepted in the mainstream scientific community. Here are more details on the frequencies mentioned earlier:

You could eat an apple and your body breaks it down differently than anyone else. That's why one medicine can't cure all. Forget the one-size-fits-all approach. That's where "precision medicine" comes in. It's a new way of looking at medicine. - Predict which treatment will work for you - Prevent diseases before they start - Personalize treatments based on YOU It uses your unique genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors to create a unique path to healing. It's the future of medicine.

2moAnother fun fact silver foil is used to wrap desserts. In one of ASARCO LLC management committe meeting, in discussing supply /demand for copper the importance of coproduct silver and its consumption in India was discussed. The CEO relayed this discussion to me some time later and that is when I told him about the use of foil in desserts . At the next meeting, I presented him a box of I dian dessert wrapped in silver foil, with a note which read “ market research you can chew on.” The humor was appreciated but I am not sure any management committee members actually tasted the dessert for fear of heavy metal poisoning.
