🔸 Single-cell multiomics analysis of myelodysplastic syndromes and clinical response to hypomethylating therapy Campillo-Marcos et al. used single-cell technologies to simultaneously map the genome and immunoproteome of myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) throughout clinical evolution. Key points 📍The architecture and evolution of molecular clones in precious paired bone marrow MDS samples at diagnosis and posttreatment 📍A combined imbalance of specific cell lineages with diverse mutational profiles associated with the clinical response to hypomethylating therapy. ➡ More details: https://lnkd.in/eTCF9u5P #spatialomics #spatialbiology #singlecellanalysis #singlecell

Cell surface RNAs recruit neutrophils to inflammatory sites. Researchers have discovered a crucial role for cell surface RNAs, particularly glycoRNAs, in recruiting neutrophils to inflammatory sites. Neutrophils, integral to the immune system, utilize glycoRNAs to bind to endothelial cells and migrate through blood vessel walls to reach sites of inflammation. Previous studies have identified glycoRNAs in various cell types, suggesting their broad significance across different biological contexts. These findings highlight the potential of glycoRNAs in facilitating cell-cell interactions and inflammatory responses, opening avenues for further exploration into their functions and mechanisms in diverse cellular processes. Check out this amazing LNP Cost calculator: https://lnkd.in/dZ6vjT2V In a simple cost analysis, Moderna was able to screen 35 novel LNPs in the Liver-Chip during a course of experiments that took 18 months at a total cost of $325,000. If they were to screen the same number of LNPs using traditional NHP studies, it would have cost Moderna over $5,000,000 and taken over 60 months to complete. Simply by incorporating Liver-Chips into their workflow, Moderna was able to down-select LNPs over 4x faster and at a fraction of the cost of NHP studies. Comparative immunhistology (DIC DAB) of transgenic mouse strains overexpressing my mystery protein, with identical ages but varying relative copy numbers, in comparison to wild-type brains. These strains exhibit progressively increasing protein deposition and neurodegeneration. Given the convincing nature of these results, I may consider publishing them at one stage. I have many more results that are also very convincing. What do you think?

Struggling to recreate the human physiology in vitro? 💬 We have interviewed Natalia Sánchez Romero, R&D Director at BeCytes, who has given some insights about the necessity of creating in vitro models that approximate in vivo behavior and BeCytes options to recreate the hepatic microenvironment. BeCytes has developed a cell procuring service that offers liver cells, including both primary hepatocytes and non-parenchymal cells. These cells enable the creation of reliable 3D liver models for research purposes. Our cells are produced under rigorous QC standards and fully characterized, including 3D/spheroid qualification. 🔵 Don't miss it! https://lnkd.in/dvW-Vs2v #livermodels #cellculture #hepaticcells #BeCytesBiotechnologies
