Walkway details from a covered plant area got a little complex where partially built general access routes needed linking to access routes provided by a process manufacturer at a wall intersection. PREFERRED EXECUTION PLAN? It is worth pointing out that completing the MXLP5000 structure in a graving dock may not be the BEST execution plan. If the heave plate is raised to its inclined position before it is transported it will act like a sail when it is transported from the graving dock to the local floating assembly site. This can be avoided by placing the heave plate on top of the 4 columns (right side up) in the graving dock and building the counterweight truss LOCALLY. This plan will require that a 5000t floating sheerleg (probably leased) be available in the floating assembly port to turn the heave plate upside down and place it on top of the 4 columns in its inclined postion (leaned back against 2 inclined struts). The counterweight truss would then be placed on top of the inclined heave plate (with 2 cranes on land next to the quay) and welded to the bottom of the heave plate.
