Invisible Connections supply the concrete construction industry with ‘unseen’ telescopic connection systems for stairs, landings, beams and columns. We are also specialist manufacturers of the FERBOX® reinforcement continuity system, to application requirements. TSS and RVK Precast Concrete Stair Landing Connectors Elegant and efficient alternative to traditional rolled steel angles (RSA) or corbels to support precast concrete stair landings off core walls. The TSS range is ideal where no screed is intended, enabling a blemish free precast finish to be achieved. The RVK range is deployed with a hopper and is a rugged, cost effective connector for screeded landings. With appropriate layout, robustness requirements are satisfied. DTS Medium Load Beam and Column Connectors Versatile mid load solution for connecting Double Tee floors, slabs and beams as well as miscellaneous applications which fall between performance parameters of TSS / RVK stair landing connectors and BSF beam and column connectors. BSF High Load Beam and Column Connectors Heavy duty and aesthetically pleasing alternative to traditional precast corbel supports, which are complex to detail, expensive to form and challenging to transport. Used for connecting beams to beams, or beams to columns, the BSF range accommodates vertical sheer capacities from 225kN to 1100kN. REDiBOX Permanent Recess Former Purpose designed, simple means of creating recesses in precast or in situ walls to receive cast in TSS, RVK or DTS telescopic connectors. Eliminates digging-out and provides generous tolerance for installation of stair landings. Architects, engineers and contractors who specify Invisible Connections appreciate the reassurance which results from best practice, best products, and best cost efficiency. Specials are our standard. As a UK CARES approved fabricator, we routinely manufacture FERBOX casings in lengths from 1.0m up to 2.4m. Configuring cases in combination to meet each construction joint length, BEFORE the product reaches site, means FERBOX can be quickly and easily installed, without any on site modification. To benefit from bespoke, we encourage detailers to reference individual wall locations and construction joint lengths when scheduling FERBOX. Not only does this enable us to purpose-make FERBOX to exactly fit each joint length, but also means we can supply FERBOX casings individually labelled with Core/Floor level, Wall Location/Description and Bar Mark clearly marked. Great to see site progress at KIER Construction’s Sunderland Eye Hospital. We particularly like frame contractor Moortown Group Limited’s photo showing RVK telescopic connectors in the background, cast into precast stair landings by RIGHTCAST LIMITED. RVK connectors are used throughout to provide the hidden means of support for precast stair landings off core walls. On this project, the stair flights are wide and long whilst the landings are quite small, so pairs of RVK 101 connectors accommodate the high live load of 5kN per m2. At the rear, single RVK units support landings off 3 core walls in a more conventional layout. Our long-standing, valued customer, Moortown, choose telescopic connectors for their projects, because compared to steel angles, they’re quicker, accurate and more cost-effective. #Precast #Concrete #UKConstruction #SpeedSafetyStrength
A stairway to heaven can be seen at Sunderland Eye Hospital with Kier Construction. Works are progressing well with a hive of activity in recent weeks, with a stunning backdrop of colours at sunset. The concrete staircases are being lifted into position into Cores 1 and 2 providing full access and egress to all levels. Level 4 has already seen pour 1 and 2 completed, with pour 3 and 4 soon to follow. The formation of this eye hospital is no optical illusion! South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust

In the commercial centre, we’re proud to have supplied RVK Precast Concrete Stair Landing Connectors and REDiBOX recess formers to three (of the six) landmark office towers; Three, Four and Eden, New Bailey. At Four, pinned RVK connectors were specified by Cundall and cast into landings by Lynx Precast Limited for Hampsey Ltd. Similarly at Eden, where pinned RVK connectors were cast into landings by O'Reilly Precast Ltd for OBR for both the Feature and Fire stairs. Standard or Pinned? • Standard telescopic connectors are appropriate where stairs and landings can be supported on two adjacent perpendicular core walls. • Pinned connectors anchor the precast element to the core wall, where landings can only be connected on two ends. Both connection methods satisfy PD6687-1 requirements. With appropriate positioning of standard or pinned telescopic connectors, anchorage is inherent. Robustness requirements are met without the need for additional materials or labour - and associated costs. As a result, engineering design is satisfied, task complexity is simplified, and programme efficiencies enabled. Speed. Safety.
