Asia Natural Gas & Energy Association’s Post

Congratulations to PETROVIETNAM GAS (PV GAS) and its partners on this significant milestone. A second phase of development of the LNG precinct would take storage capacity up from 1 million tonnes to 3 million tonnes, with LNG to be distributed to customers via pipelines or tankers/satellite warehouses. Vietnam took delivery of its inaugural LNG shipment in July, the first step towards LNG making up nearly 15 per cent of the country's fast-growing energy use by 2030. It's part of a wider plan to have gas replace coal in underpinning Vietnam's energy system, providing far lower-emission electricity generation as the country continues to increase investment in renewables. #naturalgas #naturalgasindustry #lng #lngindustry #energysecurity #energytransition #decarbonisation #dearbonization #netzero #vietnam #asia
