Since our platform turns every design into product samples that are optimised for #profitability without sacrificing sustainability goals, we of course have to consider eco-modulation - after all, this represents a real cost or benefit for each product 💸 👉 Curious to learn more? Idpdirect - Sustainability Initiative for Packaging – Innovations for a Greener Future Sustainability doesn't have to come at the expense of design and functionality. On the contrary, we firmly believe that sustainable packaging can be just as attractive and practical as conventional packaging. Our designers are working to develop aesthetically pleasing packaging that also benefits the environment. From minimalist designs to creative shapes and patterns – we embrace diversity and innovation. Example: In 2023, we introduced our ECO-ELEGANCE jewelry cases made from mono-material for the first time. The jewelry cases, developed by us, do not require foam or plastic inlays and do not need metal or plastic hinges. The 100% recyclable cases can be individually configured and designed, as they are manufactured in our own factories. The cases can be fully recycled in paper recycling, thus contributing to waste reduction. #design #functionality #sustainable #sustainability #packaging #creative #jewelrycases #jewelry #monomaterial #recyclable #cases #wastereduction #watches #jewelers

Purrrfect: An Imaginary Brand Committed to Sustainability I've always imagined a company that could make a positive impact on the world. A company dedicated to recycling, repurposing, and reinventing the way we consume. Purrrfect was born from this aspiration. Imagine a world where old materials are given new life, freed from landfills and transformed into functional, stylish products. That's the vision behind Purrrfect. The Purrrfect logo, featuring a cat in a box, symbolizes the company's commitment to sustainability. The image encapsulates the idea of repurposing and finding new value in everyday objects. I'm proud to have created a design that not only looks great but also aligns with Purrrfect's mission. I hope you too will enjoy the design of this imaginary brand. Also, who knows? Maybe a company like this is just around the corner. #graphicdesign #logo #sustainablefashion #designprocess #minimalistdesign #purrfect #sustainability

Who knew textile waste could inspire a brand identity? 🌈 Reju is a textile regeneration company solving the massive problem of textile waste. So we turned their mission into a design system. The gradient color palette? Inspired by textile waste itself—those vibrant piles of discarded fabrics became the identity of the brand. The problem literally became the solution. We paired that with the typeface Circular —modern, geometric, and a nod to the circular textile system they’re building. And finally, a pared-back design with lots of whitespace to give a premium feel—perfect for justifying their higher pricing in the market. Design that looks good and solves problems? Yes, please. #branding #design #sustainability Shout out to the incredible team at co:collective that makes this work possible Hannah Silverman Laura F. 20 years ago, designers were concerned with the way the product was created, how it was made and sold. Today, the focus has shifted: “it’s about what happens after they’re discarded”. Japanese designer Oki Sato, the mind behind the N02 Recycle chair, highlights the role of ecodesign in the development of the circular economy. Made from recycled household plastic, his chair is designed to be recycled again into a new one. #Design #Ecodesign #Innovation #OkiSato #CircularEconomy

Design for longevity, design for reuse. We often encounter the term "circular economy" in the context of #fashion. But what does it mean, and how is it put into practice? How can the designer, as an individual, drive the #circularity? In contrast to the traditional linear "take-make-dispose" model, circular fashion (aka the circular economy in fashion) aims to reduce waste and environmental impact in the #design, production and consumption of clothing and accessories. In essence, its closed-loop system ensures that products are recycled or repurposed, in order to: 🚫 Eliminate waste and pollution ♻ Circulate products and materials 🌿 Regenerate nature Shifting towards a circular economy (CE) approach in fashion means extending garments’ lifespan and reclaiming raw materials for reuse, fostering #sustainability and #innovation in the industry. As for every change, the path is not always linear – it is a journey, possibly a circular one. We at DAMō want to support designers on this journey, by offering a space where to #learn, #find and #create. We believe that there are many possibilities to design and work with nature, rather than against it. Dive deeper into this important matter in our curated article. https://lnkd.in/ecYGFgFY
