Please help Peace Corps Paraguay recruit new volunteers by telling YOUR story in their promotional videos! See request below from Peace Corps Paraguay and refer any questions to Celeste Ortiz at cortiz@peacecorps.gov and note that DEADLINE is January 15, 2024. Thank you! Video Project for Invitees: In the build up towards receiving our new class of Invitees in May & September, we are looking to keeping our Invitees engaged through our social media. One way is through our dynamic, successful, inspiring, and a committed group of Returned Peace Corps Volunteers. The idea is to have folks upload a video answering 4 questions. These will be shared periodically on our social media platforms and Pre-Departure Course on LearningSpace. Be sure to introduce yourself before answering the questions. Just state your name, in which community you served, and what year you served. Here are the simple questions: 1. Why Peace Corps? Basically, asking why you should join Peace Corps. 2. Why Paraguay? Similarly, asking why you should do Peace Corps Paraguay. 3. What advice do you have for new Invitees? This could be answered for before starting or during service. 4. Since Peace Corps, I have… Great opportunity to share how Peace Corps has shaped your life and work. Video recording tips using your phone: · Prepare your phone: Before recording, make sure your phone’s camera lens is clean and turn on airplane mode to minimize interruptions such as incoming calls, messages or app notifications. · Stable support: Use a tripod, or a stable surface to avoid shaky footage. · Orientation: Horizontal orientation is preferred, NOT vertical. · Audio: Find a relatively quiet spot where there isn’t much background noise. If you can hook up an external mic to your phone, even better. Otherwise just the phone’s in-built mic should do. · Lighting: Ensure that there is sufficient lighting. Good lighting is crucial for quality recordings. · Editing: Editing NOT required. We just need the raw footage. · Setting: select an environment for the video that is informal and personal- it should be like speaking to a friend. · Note: If you do have professional recording equipment, please feel free to use that instead. Time limit: Your recording should not exceed 5 minutes. File naming: · Please follow this naming convention [your first name]_[year of service]_[site] eg. John_1990-1992_LaColmena.mp4 Uploading your file: · When you’re done with your recording, please upload to the google drive link below: https://lnkd.in/gXHJgPZv Deadline: Please complete by January 15, 2024. Thank you for sharing your experiences, passion and knowledge with the next generation of Peace Corps Volunteers! If you have any questions or need technical support, please contact Celeste Ortiz on cortiz@peacecorps.gov.

How is aging being reframed? As the healthiest and most educated post-career demographic group, this "longevity dividend" presents individuals with new life stage options and offers our society the prospect of "active agers" making substantive contributions to their communities (2015 White House Conference on Aging: The Longevity Dividend and Encore Vision).
Join Indy Encore on April 3rd or April 16th for an interactive session to explore the benefits of the "longevity dividend."

Great ideas need great boards. But how many people remember the board of that idea? Very few. Boards aren’t mainstream. Also, they may be hard to find. Until now. Introducing: DRIVE TO CANNES. The first collection of boards of all the projects entered at Cannes Lions (shortlist included!). We start off with the 2024 edition. Feel free to share it and/or report any mistakes (the archive is almost complete, some boards are either unavailable or not available yet). Big shoutout to Angela Palumbo for her precious help. And for accepting me even if I have never won a Lion (neither has she...). Enjoy! P.S. Bonus in the first comment P.P.S. Yep, this is totally legal
