Hey LinkedIn Family, I’ve been reflecting on my interview experiences and wanted to get your thoughts on a classic question: "Tell me about yourself." In the past, I’ve focused on my education, projects, and achievements—basically, reciting my resume. But now, I’m wondering if there’s a better way to approach this. Do you usually talk about your professional background, or do you also include personal stories and attributes? For those in HR or talent acquisition, what kind of answers stand out to you? I’d love to hear your experiences and tips! #hr #interview #tips #talent #job

I was taken aback when I received a job offer just 24 hours after my interview. The recruiter explained that I had ticked all the boxes for the hiring manager, leading to an expedited decision. This experience highlighted the unnecessary complexity often surrounding hiring processes. When teams have a clear understanding of their requirements, they can make swift decisions, eliminating the need for multiple rounds of interviews and lengthy evaluations. By streamlining the process, companies can save time, improve the candidate experience, and quickly secure top talent. Efficient hiring shouldn't be the exception; it should be the norm. #recruitment #management #humanresources #hr #linkedin

This is one of the worst feelings as a recruiter… You find out exactly what the candidate is targeting for salary, the hiring manager is on board. The interviews go well and then you get to the offer stage… Suddenly the hiring manager wants to make a lowball offer. I've said it time and time again, even in this market… Pay talent what they’re worth. Even if they accept the offer, it's only a moment in time before a recruiter like me reaches out to them and makes the hire 😉 #recruiterlife #recruitment

You were fully qualified for the job but still didn't get hired. Here are 5 reasons why: - They want to hire a friend or relative but need to go through the motions of interviewing. - They simply wanted free consultation, pumping you for information. - You were seen as "too good," a threat to the insecure hiring manager. - They wanted someone younger to boss around. - They sought more experience, not realizing quality matters more than years. Remember, in these cases, they don't deserve you! The right company will value you. Keep pushing forward! Happy Weekend! #Copied #Interview #Recruitment #Selection

As a recruiter, I believe in making the hiring process as efficient as possible ⏱️. The idea of dragging candidates through 12 rounds of interviews, mock presentations, and weeks of waiting is a waste of time for everyone involved 🚫⏳. At Hightower, Stratton, Novigrod & Kantor, we do things differently. I conduct an initial interview 🎤, move strong candidates to a second round ➡️, and after that, we either extend an offer 📝 or politely part ways 🤝. This entire process is typically completed within a matter of days 🗓️. While I recognize that some roles may require more scrutiny 🔍, it shouldn’t take a month for a candidate to get an offer letter. Efficiency doesn’t compromise quality – it respects everyone's time ⏳💡 and allows both sides to move forward with clarity. #Recruitment #Efficiency #Hiring #HR #TalentAcquisition #Leadership
