COMPRESSOR/TURBINE(VAPOUR CYCLE SYSTEM) Low pressure gas leaving the evaporator enters the eye of the compressor, where the pressure and the temperature are increased, and the compressor exerts braking action on the turbine that is driven by charge air. Air enters the turbine at the periphery and exits at the eye, at a reduced temperature and pressure. The air travels toward the evaporator, where it flows around the outside of the pipework containing the refrigerant, and is cooled further when heat is exchanged.
