As we continue to celebrate Women's History Month, let's shine a light on the path forward — fostering a culture of inclusion within our organizations. A culture where open dialogue flourishes, unconscious bias is actively addressed and the achievements of women are celebrated loudly and proudly. 🔴 Pain Point: Despite progress, women often face the challenge of their achievements being overlooked or undervalued in the workplace. This not only affects morale but can significantly impact career progression and retention. 🟢 Quick Fix: Implement a “Recognition Initiative.” Create a platform or a regular event within your organization where the achievements and contributions of women are highlighted and celebrated. Encourage teams to nominate their peers for their accomplishments—both big and small. This not only brings visibility to the invaluable contributions of women but also fosters a sense of community and belonging. But recognition alone is not enough. To truly foster inclusion, we must… 🔵 Encourage Open Dialogue 🔵 Address Unconscious Bias 🔵 Celebrate Achievements By taking these steps, we not only uplift the women in our organization but also pave the way for a more inclusive and equitable workplace for future generations. Let's commit to these actions not just this month, but every day, as we strive to create an environment where everyone, regardless of gender, can thrive. Your insights and experiences are invaluable as we navigate this path together. If you're interested in contributing ideas, sharing your stories, or simply discussing ways we can further enhance your workplace culture, I invite you to book a time for a chat with me. Transforming Senior Living and Care in India as Director & Group COO of Columbia Pacific Communities, seniorshield, and KITES Senior Care
"Inspire Inclusion" emerges as a fitting theme to commemorate Women's Day, aligning seamlessly with our human evolution. The evolution of this theme rightly mirrors the evolution of our society. Women's Day, once considered a feminist initiative, has transcended into a powerful call for motivation, inspiration, and confidence-building. It is now a pivotal moment for the human race to collaboratively shape our society, leveraging each individual's unique potential. Acknowledging that Women's Day is no longer confined to gender advocacy, we stand at the forefront of a paradigm shift. It's a call for recognizing and empathizing with people from diverse backgrounds, tapping into their strengths, and fostering a sense of importance and empowerment. Our society thrives not just on doctors and engineers, but on a myriad of diverse individuals carving paths toward unity, becoming the driving force of progress. On this Women's Day, let us collectively be the force that harnesses inner strength, embodying a formidable spirit. Together, let's illuminate the path towards a future where inclusion and empowerment flourish, carving a path for the society in which we aspire to live and participate. Whether at home, in the workplace, or within our communities, let's exemplify inclusivity. Become the role model that inspires others to follow suit and contribute to the transformation we seek. Step forward as a relentless advocate for this transformative change. A compelling call goes out to those in positions of power and decision-making to pay heed to this movement and actively encourage it. Be motivated, be bold, inspire and embody the change that you wish to see. #ChampionDiversity #UniteForEquality #WomenEmpowerment #EmbraceDiversity Seema Bali Tanvi Bali Rajagopal G Shareen Victor Beulah Goodwill Dr Ruhi Isaac James Dr Vandana Bhasin
Over 65% of our workforce comprises women. In alignment with this year's International Women's Day theme, 'Inspire Inclusion,' celebrated today on 8th March, we KITES Senior Care & seniorshield embarked on a meaningful journey to gauge inclusion within our organization. Through a meticulously designed survey targeting women employees across various levels, we aimed to capture their perception of inclusion, focusing on decision-making, work-life balance, and professional development opportunities. The findings, detailed in the attached video presentation, clearly suggests an overall positive perception of #inclusion within the organization, particularly in #decisionmaking, #worklifebalance , and #professionaldevelopment opportunities. We also see an opportunity in raising awareness about inclusion and diversity policies and enhancing the perceived effectiveness of these policies. As we step into FY25, we've set forth ambitious goals to enhance our inclusive practices. These include engaging with experts to refine our approach, launching a comprehensive communication campaign to elevate policy awareness, integrating inclusion metrics into our performance reviews, and developing a mentorship program dedicated to nurturing women's leadership. Special thanks to Beulah Goodwill and her superstar team for spearheading this pivotal initiative from conception through to execution. Their exceptional dedication has helped us to set a clear vision and goal in this area. We invite insights and guidance from experts in this domain to help us further our commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace where every employee thrives. What does female inclusion do for an organization? Female inclusion isn't just a matter of fairness; it's a strategic advantage. When women are included in an organization, it brings diverse perspectives, fosters innovation, and enhances problem-solving capabilities. I've seen firsthand how female leadership can inspire teams, improve decision-making, and drive business growth. Inclusivity also creates a more supportive and collaborative work environment, where everyone feels valued and empowered to contribute their best. Women make up 67% of the workforce in the health and social care sectors globally, and they are vital to the provision of basic services to around 5 billion people globally. Achieving sustainable development requires recognizing and valuing women's contributions to overall well-being. Addressing equity issues such as fair treatment, elimination of discrimination and harassment (including sexual harassment), gender pay gaps, occupational segregation, and leadership disparities is essential for addressing the 15 million health worker shortfall needed to achieve Universal Health Care equitably, inclusively, and sustainably. Therefore assuring that Gender equity is vital for building resilient health systems, and policies promoting gender transformation in health and social care are crucial for advancing global gender equality. " Inspiring Inclusion" is the theme set forth as the goal for FY25 which remains at the heart of KITES Senior Care to continue nurturing the efforts and growth of our team and enhancing our practices. We invite insights and guidance from experts in this domain to help us further our commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace where every employee thrives.
