Have you ever had a brand experience that was just so pleasant and exceeded your expectations you had to talk about it? I've had a handful of those experiences in the the past year or two, but the most recent one is something I had to share. On a recent Delta Air Lines flight to to our annual incentive trip in Cancun, I sat down, got settled, and was delighted to find that when I clicked into my media screen, I could login and have a personalized experience. I was "greeted" on the screen, was able to select and save my preferences and peruse the options. For some, it may be a small detail, but for a brand loyalist like me, it was a true "surprise and delight" experience and one that adds to my ever-growing list of why I only fly Delta. Brands, take note. Consumers are craving a personal connection when they engage with your brand now more than ever before.
