With May being Mental Health Awareness Month, it's important to remind everyone that if you're grappling with mental illness, you're not alone. Unfortunately, certain TV shows or movies about mental health can perpetuate a negative stigma or provide a distorted view of what mental health truly means. In reality, one in five children will experience some type of mental health issue, and it's crucial to challenge the stigma and misconceptions in order to ensure children receive the support they need. Together, we can dismantle the stigma surrounding mental illness and facilitate faster access to treatment! #MentalHealthAwareness #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth #MentalHealth #HopeForTomorrow

For those struggling in life, I reserve this reminder of devotion and compassion to our global humanitarian service. Empathy, for those who struggle and/or have struggled managing self-injury, self-worth, self-sabotage, and other mental health (and body) pain. Depression, PTSD, trauma, detached spaces, self-injury, and so many more diverse pain states ARE REAL. Do we know the signs of self-harm in ourselves and others? Rose-colored glasses ARE REAL. Yet, so is awareness and support. I have lost loved ones to suicide. And, I never even saw the signs. I know self-injury can be used for reality testing, and can often lead to accidental fatality. Today, please join in sharing your support by connecting with a fellow human in your human experience, and maybe provide a mini mental health booster today 🫶. #mentalhealthmatters #mentalhealthadvocacy #March1 #selfcare #selfawarenessjourney #awarenessmatters
On #SelfInjuryAwarenessDay, we stand united to promote understanding, support, and empathy. Together, let's foster a compassionate community that prioritizes mental health and offers help to those in need. 💙🧡

Breaking the silence on mental health stigma is crucial for fostering understanding and support. Recognizing the medical significance of dismantling stigma is key. Stigmatizing attitudes can deter individuals from seeking professional help, exacerbating the impact of mental health disorders. By fostering an open dialogue, we empower people to seek the treatment they need without fear of judgment. Let's build a community where everyone feels heard, understood, and supported on their mental health journey. 🤝💙 ========================== Struggling with your mental health?
